## Pricing

from $35.00 / 1,000 company scoreds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## In-Market Timing Score

Give it a list of company domains. For each one you get a decision, not a pile of data: **contact
now**, **nurture** or **wait**, with a 1-10 timing score and the dated, linked buying trigger that
justifies it. Drop it into a Clay table and sort your accounts by who to call this week.

### How the score works

We run a fresh Google search on every company for the last 12 months and classify what we find
into buying triggers, then add the signals we already hold for the domain (hiring, 10-K security
and AI investment, 8-K cyber incidents). Each trigger has a weight, and fresher triggers count more:

| Trigger | Weight |
| --- | --- |
| Funding round, leadership change, cyber incident (8-K) | high |
| Acquisition, expansion, security incident | high |
| AI adoption, AI agent development, hiring, 10-K security or AI investment | medium |
| Product launch, partnership | low |
| Restructuring or layoffs | negative: budgets are likely frozen |

A trigger from the last 30 days counts fully, then 70% up to 90 days, 40% up to 180 days. The same
story told five times counts once, and one story backs one trigger only: each trigger is shown with
the headline that is actually about it. A trigger the research detected without a story that says
it plainly counts half and shows no headline. The score is plain arithmetic: the same evidence always gives
the same answer.

| Score | Decision |
| --- | --- |
| 7-10 | Contact now |
| 4-6 | Nurture |
| 1-3 | Wait (check again in 90 days) |

### Who it is built for

The trigger list and the stored signals were built for B2B technology sellers, above all security,
identity, data and AI. The score works best when your buyers are companies that buy that kind of
software.

- Security incidents, 10-K security and AI investment and 8-K cyber disclosures add points. For a
seller in another category they may not mean budget for you.
- For companies outside tech, such as a restaurant chain or a local services firm, the score rests
only on general triggers (funding, leadership, expansion, acquisition). Expect more Wait and
  Nurture results.
- It does not read your product or your ICP. Pair it with **ICP Fit Score** to first keep only the
  accounts that fit.

Try it on 20 accounts you already know before running a large list.

### Output

One row per domain: `timing_score`, `decision`, `action`, `why` (the strongest trigger with its date
and headline), `top_trigger`, `top_trigger_date`, `source_url`, and every trigger that counted.

### Pricing

| Event | Price | When |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `company-scored` | USD 0.05 (USD 50 per 1,000) | Per domain scored, with or without a trigger |

Every domain is a live search, so a domain with no trigger (score 1, Wait) is still charged. A
domain the search could not finish is not charged. The run never scores more domains than your
maximum charge allows. Example: 100 domains = USD 5.

### Timing

Domains run in batches of 25. A batch usually takes 2 to 15 minutes.

### Input

| Field | Notes |
| --- | --- |
| `domains` | Domains, website URLs or work emails |

### Related

**Company News Research** returns the raw signals behind the score, and **ICP Fit Score** tells you
whether a company fits your ideal customer at all.

### Data and privacy

Company-level data only. No personal data is returned.

### FAQ

**Which industries does it work best for?**
It is tuned for B2B tech sellers in security, identity, data and AI. For other markets it relies on general triggers only, so try it on 20 accounts you know first.

**How much does it cost?**
USD 50 per 1,000 domains scored. A domain with no trigger is still charged because the search ran.

**Should I use it with ICP Fit Score?**
Yes. ICP Fit says who to sell to, Timing says when. Together they give you a ranked list.
