## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Contact Details Scraper: Emails, Phones, Socials

Give it a list of websites and get back their **emails, phone numbers and social media profiles**: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Telegram, WhatsApp, GitHub and Discord. You get one clean row per website, ready for a CRM, a cold-outreach list or lead enrichment.

You pay per page crawled. Proxies are included.

### Why this one

- **Contact pages first.** The crawler visits contact, about, team and imprint pages before the rest, so a few pages per site are usually enough, and you pay for fewer.
- **Finds hidden emails.** It decodes Cloudflare-protected addresses (`[email protected]`), reads `mailto:` and `tel:` links, and catches written-out forms like `name [at] company [dot] com`.
- **Clean output.** Junk such as image file names and placeholder addresses is filtered out, and `emailsOnDomain` keeps only the addresses on the website's own domain.
- **Gets past blocks.** Sites that block datacenter IPs are retried through residential proxies automatically.
- **Accepts bare domains.** Paste `stripe.com` or a full URL, whichever you have.

### Input example

```json
{
  "startUrls": ["https://apify.com", "stripe.com", "monobank.ua"],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 10,
  "maxDepth": 2
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "status": "ok",
  "url": "https://www.python.org/",
  "domain": "python.org",
  "title": "Welcome to Python.org",
  "emails": ["psf@python.org", "webmaster@python.org", "legal@python.org"],
  "emailsOnDomain": ["psf@python.org", "webmaster@python.org", "legal@python.org"],
  "phones": [],
  "linkedin": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/python-software-foundation"],
  "facebook": [],
  "instagram": [],
  "twitter": ["https://twitter.com/ThePSF"],
  "youtube": [],
  "pagesCrawled": 8
}
```

Websites that cannot be loaded appear with `status: "error"` and are not charged.

### Pricing

You pay a fixed price per page crawled, so a 5-page crawl costs half as much as a 10-page one. **Max pages per website** caps the cost of every site, and you can set a maximum cost per run in the run options.

### Tips

- Start with 5 to 10 pages per website. Raise it only for large sites with many departments.
- To get the websites to crawl, combine this Actor with a Google Maps or search scraper.
- Phone numbers come from `tel:` links and international numbers that start with `+`, which keeps false positives low.

### Is it legal to scrape contact details?

The Actor collects only information that websites publish openly. Business emails and phone numbers can still be personal data, so use them in line with GDPR, CAN-SPAM and the other laws that apply to you.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Website URLs or bare domains, one per line, for example apify.com.

## `maxPagesPerDomain` (type: `integer`):

Contact, about, team and imprint pages are crawled first, so 5 to 10 pages usually find everything.

## `maxDepth` (type: `integer`):

0 crawls only the page you gave, 1 also crawls the pages it links to, and so on.

## `includePageUrls` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the URLs of the crawled pages to each result.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Higher is faster.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default. Sites that block it are retried through residential IPs automatically. Proxy costs are included in the price.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    "https://apify.com",
    "stripe.com"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 10,
  "maxDepth": 2,
  "includePageUrls": false,
  "maxConcurrency": 10,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

All websites.

## `overview` (type: `string`):

The overview view of the dataset.

};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("deadmist/contact-details").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
