## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs API – Greenhouse, Lever, Workday & Ashby Jobs Scraper

**Get every open job directly from company career sites, in one clean schema, for $2 per 1,000 jobs.** Paste career page URLs (or just company names) and get structured job postings from **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters and Recruitee**: title, location, remote flag, department, salary (when published), posting date, full description and apply link.

- ✅ **First-party data**: no job-board reposts, no expired or ghost listings, no duplicates
- ✅ **7 ATS platforms, 1 schema**: mix Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and more in a single run
- ✅ **No login, cookies, browser or proxies**: it reads the public job-board feeds behind each company's own careers page
- ✅ **Pay only per job saved**: $0.002/job, no start fee, and it stops at your *Maximum cost per run*

**Try it now:** the input is pre-filled with OpenAI (Ashby), Airbnb (Greenhouse), Spotify (Lever), NVIDIA (Workday) and Stripe. Click **Start** to get up to 100 engineering jobs within seconds (the 15-job test run below took about 7 seconds).

### Real run results (17 Oct 2026)

Pre-filled input, keyword `engineer`, 3 jobs per company (run `YMTHJ7OY6z1TgAa0c`, about 7 seconds). The log reported these open-job counts per board: OpenAI 814 (Ashby), Airbnb 173 (Greenhouse), Spotify 82 (Lever), NVIDIA 2,000 (Workday search cap), Stripe 732 (Greenhouse, auto-detected from the plain name `stripe`).

### What does Career Site Jobs Scraper do?

Most companies publish their jobs through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This Actor detects the ATS behind each company you give it, pulls the complete list of open roles from the ATS's public job-board feed, normalizes everything into **one consistent schema across all 7 ATS platforms**, applies your filters, and saves one row per job to an Apify dataset you can download as **JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML** or push to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable or your own API.

### Use cases

- **Hiring-signal lead generation**: list the companies hiring SDRs, data engineers or security staff this week and hand them to sales (`keywords` + `postedWithinDays: 7`).
- **Recruiting & staffing**: watch a list of target accounts every day and get new roles first (schedule + `postedWithinDays: 1`).
- **Niche job boards**: fill a remote, climate or AI job board with fresh first-party listings and real apply links.
- **Salary & labor-market research**: structured `salaryMin`/`salaryMax`/`salaryCurrency` from Ashby, Lever and Recruitee, plus ranges parsed from description text.
- **Competitive intelligence & VC diligence**: track team growth by department over time.
- **AI agents & RAG**: clean plain-text descriptions with consistent fields, callable through the Apify API or MCP.

### Supported ATS platforms

| ATS | Example input |
|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb` · `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/anthropic` · `greenhouse:stripe` |
| Lever | `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify` (EU: `jobs.eu.lever.co`) |
| Ashby | `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai` |
| Workday | `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` |
| Workable | `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface` |
| SmartRecruiters | `https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup` |
| Recruitee | `https://bunq.recruitee.com` |
| Auto-detect | just type `stripe`, `notion`, `anthropic` … (tries Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters) |

### Features

- 🏢 **7 ATS platforms, one schema** — mix them freely in one run

- 📍 **Location** filter (with smart aliases: `United States` also matches `US, CA, Santa Clara`), **remote-only** toggle
- 🗂️ **Department / team** filter
- 📅 **Posted within N days** — perfect for daily or weekly schedules that only return new jobs
- 💰 **Salary**: structured min / max / currency from Ashby, Lever and Recruitee, plus salary ranges extracted from description text for other ATSs
- 📝 Full **plain-text descriptions** (length-capped), apply links, posting dates
- ♻️ Deduplication, automatic retries with backoff, per-company and total limits
- 💵 Respects your **Maximum cost per run** — stops cleanly when the limit is reached
- 📊 A per-company **SUMMARY** record (detected ATS, jobs on the board, jobs saved, errors)

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** / **Start**.
2. Add companies (career page URLs or slugs), one per line.
3. Optionally add keywords, locations, remote-only, departments or "posted within N days".

Fields an ATS doesn't publish are `null`.

### Pricing

**Pay per event: $0.002 per job returned**, so **$2 per 1,000 jobs**, with no start fee. You pay only for jobs that land in your dataset. Set a *Maximum cost per run* and the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached. Platform usage is tiny: the 15-job run above used about $0.0001 of compute.

How that compares with other career-site Actors on the Apify Store (free-tier list prices, checked 17 Oct 2026; paid Apify plans can get lower tiered prices on some of them):

| Actor | Price per job (free tier) | Start fee | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| **This Actor** | **$0.002** | none | 7 ATSs, direct from the source, live at run time |
| Career Site Job Listing API (fantastic-jobs) | $0.012 | yes | aggregated database, 58 ATSs, AI-enriched |
| Career Site Job Listing Feed (fantastic-jobs) | $0.0025 | yes | aggregated feed |
| Job Search Scraper (hirebase) | $0.005 | $0.001 | aggregated search across 20+ ATSs |
| Greenhouse Jobs API (fantastic-jobs) | $0.002 | – | Greenhouse only |

Choose an aggregated database when you want to search *all* companies at once. Choose this Actor when you already know which companies you care about and want their complete, current job list straight from their ATS.

### Tips

- Schedule a daily run with `postedWithinDays: 1` (or 2 for safety) to get only fresh postings.
- Turn off `includeDescription` for the fastest, lightest runs (Workday and SmartRecruiters then need just 1 request per 20–100 jobs).
- Don't know the ATS? Just type the company name — or open the company's careers page, click a job, and paste that URL's board part.
- Workday tenants show at most ~2,000 jobs per search; add keywords to reach specific roles at very large employers.

### FAQ

**Is this legal?** The Actor only reads public job postings that companies intentionally publish via their ATS's public job-board feeds (the same data shown on their career pages). No login or personal data is involved. Always use the data in line with applicable laws and the companies' terms.

**Is it affiliated with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters or Recruitee?** No. This Actor is independent and not endorsed by any of them.

**How fresh is the data?** Live. Every run reads the company's ATS feed at that moment, so you get exactly what is on the careers page now.

**How do I get only new jobs?** Schedule the Actor daily with `postedWithinDays: 1` (or 2 to be safe), then connect Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make or a webhook.

**Can I scrape LinkedIn or Indeed with it?** No. It reads only company career sites (ATS job boards), which means no login and no job-board terms of service involved.

**How many companies can I add?** As many as you like. Each company is fetched separately, and `maxItemsPerCompany` / `maxItems` keep costs predictable.

**A company isn't found?** Paste its career page URL instead of the name. If its ATS isn't supported, open an issue in the **Issues** tab — feedback is welcome.

One per line. Paste a career page URL (e.g. https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite, https://apply.workable.com/huggingface, https://jobs.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup, https://bunq.recruitee.com), an explicit 'ats:slug' (e.g. greenhouse:stripe), or just a company slug (e.g. stripe) and the ATS is auto-detected.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains ANY of these (case-insensitive), e.g. engineer, sales, data. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. intern, senior.

## `searchInDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Match keywords against title + full description (slower for Workday/SmartRecruiters).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Include the full plain-text job description (and salary extracted from it when not structured).

## `descriptionMaxChars` (type: `integer`):

Truncate descriptions to this many characters.

## `maxItemsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

0 = no per-company limit.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. The run also stops cleanly when your Maximum cost per run is reached.
