## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Quora Scraper: Questions, Answers and Profiles (No Login)

**Scrape public Quora questions, their top answers and user profiles, with no Quora account.** For each question you get the title, URL, answer count, followers, topics and the list of related questions. For each answer you get the full text, author name and credential, **views, upvotes, shares and comments**, and the date. For each profile you get followers, number of answers, **total content views**, views last month, credentials, location and "Most viewed writer" years.

**Try it now:** the input is pre-filled with two questions and one profile. Click **Start**. A run like that takes well under a minute.

### What can you do with this Quora scraper?

- **Content and SEO research**: see which answers on a question get the most views and upvotes, and what they say.
- **Topic datasets**: start from one or two questions, turn on *Follow related questions*, and collect dozens of questions on the same topic with their best answers.
- **Find experts and creators**: answer authors come with their credential and profile link. Run their profiles to get followers and total views.
- **Brand and market monitoring**: track what people ask and answer about your product category.
- **Customer research**: read real answers to the questions your buyers ask, with how many people viewed them.

### Input

| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| `questionUrls` | `https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-learn-Python-3` | Question pages or answer links (`.../answer/Author-Name`). |
| `profileUrls` | `Jimmy-Wales` | Profile URL or the name part after `/profile/`. |
| `followRelatedQuestions` | `true` | Also scrape related questions found on each page, up to `maxQuestions`. |
| `maxQuestions` | `20` | Question pages to open in total. |
| `maxAnswersPerQuestion` | `10` | Upper limit. See limits below. |
| `includeAnswerText` | `true` | Full answer text as plain text. |
| `maxItems` | `200` | Total records for the run. |

### Output

  "url": "https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-most-useful-money-investment-and-saving-tricks",
  "answerCount": 299, "answersOnPage": 4, "relatedQuestions": [{ "title": "Is having a savings account worth it?", "url": "..." }] }
```
```json

```
The dataset has an **Answers** table view and an **All records** view. Download as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or use the API.
### Pricing
Pay per result, no start fee, proxy included:
- **$0.0019 per question**, **$0.0019 per answer**, **$0.0019 per profile** ($1.90 per 1,000 results)
Every result needs a real browser session on a residential proxy to get past Quora's Cloudflare check; that's what the price covers.
Set *Maximum cost per run* and the scraper stops cleanly when it gets there.
### Limits
- **Answers per question**: Quora shows logged-out visitors only the first few answers of a question, usually 2 to 6. This scraper returns those. Some of them are answers Quora pulls in from a very similar question; those have `fromSimilarQuestion: true` and their own `questionTitle` and `questionUrl`.
- **No keyword search**: Quora's search pages are off limits in its robots.txt, so start from question URLs and use *Follow related questions* to expand.
- Topic and Spaces pages are not supported yet.
- Quora uses Cloudflare bot protection. The scraper passes it with a real browser on a residential proxy, then reads pages quietly one at a time. If a page is still blocked it retries with a new session and skips it after three tries.
- Needs 2 GB of memory (the default).
### FAQ
**Do I need a Quora account or cookies?** No. Only public pages are read.
**Is it allowed?** It only collects publicly visible data and stays out of the paths Quora's robots.txt disallows. Quora doesn't allow its content to be used to train AI models without a license, so don't use the output for that. Respect authors' copyright and privacy law when you reuse the data.
**Affiliation?** This Actor is independent and not affiliated with Quora, Inc.
**Something missing?** Open an issue on the Issues tab. We usually reply within a day.
### ⭐ Enjoying it?
If this Actor saved you time, a quick rating on its Apify Store page helps a lot, and it helps other people find it. Feedback or a missing feature? Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab. Thank you!
# Actor input Schema
Also scrape the related questions listed on each question page, until Max questions is reached. Handy for building a dataset around a topic from one or two seed questions.
## `maxQuestions` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of question pages to open (including related ones).
## `maxAnswersPerQuestion` (type: `integer`):
Quora shows logged-out visitors the first few answers of each question (usually 3 to 6), so this is an upper limit. Set 0 to skip answers.
## `includeAnswerText` (type: `boolean`):
Add the full answer text as plain text.
## `includeRelatedQuestions` (type: `boolean`):
Add the related questions (title and URL) to each question record.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
