## Pricing

from $1.49 / 1,000 group posts

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Facebook Groups Scraper: Posts, No Login

Paste public Facebook group links and get every post: author, full text, photos and videos, shared links, reactions by type, comment and share counts, plus the group's name, members and privacy. No login, no cookies, no browser.

### What you get per post

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `groupName`, `groupMembers`, `groupPrivacy` | Python Developers, 76.5K members, Public group |
| `user` / `userName`, `userProfileUrl` | the author |
| `text`, `time`, `url` | the post |
| `likesCount`, `commentsCount`, `sharesCount` | 25, 8, 3 |
| `reactionLikeCount` ... `reactionAngryCount` | reactions by type |
| `imageUrls`, `attachments`, `link`, `previewTitle` | media and shared links |
| `title`, `price`, `location`, `isForSale` | for-sale posts in buy/sell groups (`title` is the shared link's on other posts) |
| `phones`, `emails`, `photoCount` | phone numbers (E.164) and emails in the text, photos in the post |
| `hashtags`, `mentions`, `textLinks`, `textReferences`, `sharedPost` | text details and shares |

Every field is described in the Output tab.

### Coming from apify's Facebook Groups Scraper

The input is the same: `startUrls`, `resultsLimit`, `viewOption` and `onlyPostsNewerThan` work as they are. These output fields have the same names and values: `facebookUrl`, `url`, `id` (the story id), `legacyId` (the numeric post id), `feedbackId`, `time`, `text`, `user`, `likesCount`, `commentsCount`, `sharesCount`, `viewsCount`, `isVideo`, `link`, `actionLink`, `previewTitle`, `previewDescription`, `previewSource`, `title`, `price`, `location`, `collaborators`, `paidPartnership`, `facebookId` (the group's id), `groupTitle`, `textReferences` (Facebook's entity objects) and `sharedPost`. A few differ:

| apify field | Here |
|---|---|
| `topComments` (comment objects) | `topCommentsDetails`: the same objects; `topComments`: the comment texts; `topCommentsAuthors`: their authors |
| `textReferences` of a share (the original's) | `textReferences`: the post's own; the original's are in `sharedPost.textReferences` |
| `previewTarget` (object) | `previewTargetUrl`: the link it points to |
| `attachments` (Facebook's media objects) | `attachments`: one `{id, type, url, image, caption}` per photo, video or link; also `imageUrls`, `mediaUrls`, `mediaIds` |

### Input

- **Facebook group links**: `facebook.com/groups/<name or id>` (a post link reads its group). Only public groups.
- **Number of posts**: per group; empty reads every post the group's feed lists.
- **Sorting order**: New posts, Newest activity, Most relevant or Buy/sell items.
- **Posts newer than / older than**: a date window (absolute, or relative like `7 days`).

```json
{"startUrls": [{"url": "https://www.facebook.com/groups/pythondevelopers"}], "resultsLimit": 100}
```

Also accepted: `maxItems` and `onlyPostsNewerThanHours`.

### Pricing

Pay per post: **$2.29 per 1,000 posts** on Starter ($2.49 Free, $1.89 Scale, $1.49 Business). No start fee. A post is charged once per run.

### Notes

- Facebook shows groups to logged-out visitors on residential IPs only, so the scraper uses Apify's residential proxy (included in the price).
- Private groups and posts only members can see aren't available without an account.
- Comments of group posts: use the Facebook Comments Scraper with the post links.
- The run's summary (posts per group, why each one stopped) is in the `OUTPUT` record.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Public groups: facebook.com/groups/<name or id>. A group post link reads its group. Private groups can't be read logged out.

## `resultsLimit` (type: `integer`):

Posts per group. Empty: every post the group's feed lists.

## `viewOption` (type: `string`):

The group feed's order. 'Posts newer than' works best with New posts.

## `onlyPostsNewerThan` (type: `string`):

Only posts from this date on (or relative: '7 days').

## `onlyPostsOlderThan` (type: `string`):

Only posts up to this date (with 'newer than': a date window).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Calls at once.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential Apify Proxy (US unless you pick a country): Facebook shows groups and Marketplace to logged-out visitors on residential IPs only. Your own proxy URLs are used as they are.
