## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper

Workday hosts the careers sites of NVIDIA, Salesforce and other large employers at addresses like `nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com`. Paste a site's URL and this Actor returns its open jobs: title and locations always, and with descriptions on (the default) also the full job text, the time type and the exact posting date.

Workday's job list only says things like "Posted Yesterday", so an exact date has to come from each job's own page, one extra request per job. In my timing, all 2,000 NVIDIA jobs take about two minutes to list and four or five more to fetch descriptions for. Turn `includeDescription` off when titles and locations are enough; the date is then worked out from Workday's label. With a keyword filter on, the list is still read to the last page, so a matching job on page 40 isn't missed.

### What you get for each job

- Job title, requisition ID and the locations Workday lists
- Posting date: exact with descriptions on, approximate from Workday's label with them off
- Time type (full time or part time) and apply link, with descriptions on
- The full description, and a salary range when the text includes one
- The job's page on the career site

### Input

```json
{
    "companies": [
        "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite"
    ],
    "keywords": [
        "engineer",
        "intern"
    ],
    "includeDescription": true
}
```

### Output

```json
{
    "company": "nvidia",
    "ats": "workday",
    "title": "Engineering Manager - OpenBMC Platform",
    "location": "US, CA, Santa Clara",
    "employmentType": "Full time",
    "postedAt": "2026-09-26T00:00:00.000Z",
    "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/..."
}
```

### Pricing

The price is $0.001 per job, the same with or without descriptions, so all 2,000 NVIDIA jobs cost $2 and a filtered subset costs less. Jobs your filters skip and sites that fail are free. Apify adds $0.00005 per run for starting the Actor.

### Limits

- Workday needs the career site URL. A company name alone isn't enough to find the site, though a company domain works when its careers page links to Workday.
- The company name is the Workday tenant ID, like `nvidia`.
- Salary appears only when the description includes a range, which is common for US roles in states that require it.
- Other job systems come back as an error row; Career Site Jobs Scraper reads Workday and six more.

### Changelog

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Workday career site URLs, one per line, as they appear in your browser: nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite. A company domain works when its careers page links to Workday. Up to 200 per run.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words, for example engineer or sales. Empty keeps all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these, for example London, Germany or Remote. Empty keeps all.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the company marks as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs posted in the last N days. 0 keeps all.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: return only jobs that were not open the last time this ran. The list of seen jobs is kept in a key-value store called career-site-jobs-seen in your account.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full description text. Workday, SmartRecruiters and Workable need one extra request per job for it, so turning it off makes big runs faster.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs per company.
