# Fresh Email Finder — Verified Company Emails from Live Websites (`delta_tools/fresh-email-finder`) Actor

Find real contact emails on companies' live websites — not a stale database. Each address is extracted from a page crawled during your run, MX-checked, and returned with its source URL. You pay only per email found.

## Pricing

from $5.00 / 1,000 verified email founds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Fresh Email Finder — Verified Company Emails from Live Websites

Most B2B lead tools sell you emails from a database that was scraped years
ago. Users report 18–20% deliverability, spam traps, and "2016 lead lists."

**Fresh Email Finder works the other way around:** give it company domains,
and it crawls each company's *live website right now* — homepage, contact,
about, and team pages — extracts the email addresses the company itself
published, checks that the domain can receive mail (MX records), and hands
you each address together with the exact page URL where it was found.

You pay **only per email found**. Pages with no emails, crawl errors, and
duplicates cost you nothing.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `domains` | Company domains to crawl, e.g. `["acme.com", "example.org"]`. Full URLs are accepted too. Up to 1,000 per run. |
| `maxPagesPerDomain` | Pages crawled per website (default 10). |
| `sameDomainOnly` | Only return emails matching the crawled company (default: on). |
| `includeRoleEmails` | Include `info@`, `support@`, `sales@` etc. (default: on). |
| `checkMx` | Drop emails whose domain has no mail servers (default: on). |

```json
{
  "domains": ["acme.com", "example.org"],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 10,
  "sameDomainOnly": true,
  "includeRoleEmails": true,
  "checkMx": true
}
```

### Output

One dataset item per verified email found:

```json
{
  "domain": "acme.com",
  "email": "jane@acme.com",
  "isRoleEmail": false,
  "mxValid": true,
  "sources": ["https://acme.com/contact", "https://acme.com/about"],
  "crawledAt": "2026-09-25T21:00:00Z"
}
```

- `sources` — the page URL(s) where the address was published, so every
  result is auditable.
- `isRoleEmail` — `true` for role addresses (`info@`, `support@`…).
- `mxValid` — the email's domain has working mail servers.

### Pricing

**$0.005 per email found** — no start fee, no charge for pages without
emails, errors, duplicates, or filtered-out addresses.

### Honest limitations

- This finds emails companies **publish on their public websites**. Large
  enterprises often publish none — the actor shines on SMB, agency, and
  local-business sites, which is where most B2B outreach actually lands.
- Validation is MX-record + freshness based. It confirms the domain can
  receive mail; it does **not** do SMTP mailbox pinging (outbound port 25
  is blocked from cloud workers industry-wide). An address that existed on
  the site but was recently deactivated can slip through — the source URL
  lets you verify anything critical by hand.
- Sites behind aggressive bot challenges (e.g. Cloudflare "Just a moment"
  walls) are skipped gracefully rather than forced.
- `robots.txt` is respected: domains that disallow crawling are skipped.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Company domains to crawl, e.g. \["acme.com", "example.org"]. Full URLs are accepted too.

## `maxPagesPerDomain` (type: `integer`):

How many pages to crawl per website (homepage plus contact/about/team-type pages).

## `sameDomainOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only return emails whose domain matches the crawled company (recommended: filters out third-party junk).

## `includeRoleEmails` (type: `boolean`):

Include role addresses like info@, support@, sales@ alongside personal addresses.

## `checkMx` (type: `boolean`):

Verify the email's domain has mail servers (MX records) via DNS. Emails on dead domains are dropped.

    "example.com"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerDomain": 10,
  "sameDomainOnly": true,
  "includeRoleEmails": true,
  "checkMx": true
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `crawledAt` (type: `string`):
The email's domain has working mail servers (MX records).
## `sources` (type: `string`):
Page URL(s) where the address was published, one per line.
