## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Scraper – Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio

Get **every open position from company career boards** on the 7 most used applicant tracking systems (ATS) in **one clean, normalized dataset**. Give a list of company names or careers-page URLs. The Actor finds which ATS each company uses, then pulls all of its jobs. You can filter by keyword, location, remote and posting date.

- ✅ **7 ATSs in one run:** Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio. Recruitee and Personio are popular with European companies.
- ✅ **Auto-detection:** type `stripe` or paste `https://jobs.lever.co/spotify`; you don't need to know which ATS a company uses.
- ✅ **Same fields for every source:** title, department, location, country, remote, workplace type, employment type, seniority, salary (when published), dates, job URL, apply URL, plain-text description.
- ✅ **Official public job-board endpoints only.** No login, no browser, no proxies, so runs are fast and cheap.
- ✅ **Also works as a REST API** (Standby mode). Call it straight from your app, Zapier, Make, n8n or an AI agent.

### What can I use it for?

- **Job boards and aggregators:** fill a niche board (for example "remote data jobs in the EU") with fresh postings from hundreds of companies.
- **Recruiters and talent teams:** see who is hiring for what, and how fast.
- **Sales prospecting signals:** a company opening 10 "Data Engineer" roles is a warm lead for data tools.
- **Market research:** hiring trends by department, location or seniority.
- **Job seekers:** watch the companies you care about and get only new matching roles (use *Posted within days* plus an Apify schedule).

### Input

| Field | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| `companies` *(required)* | Board slugs or careers URLs | `["stripe", "openai", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify", "recruitee:bunq"]` |
| `providers` | Limit auto-detection to some ATSs | `["greenhouse","lever"]` |
| `keywords` | Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains **any** of these | `["engineer","data"]` |
| `excludeKeywords` | Drop jobs whose title contains any of these | `["intern","senior"]` |
| `locations` | Keep jobs whose location or country matches **any** of these | `["Berlin","Italy","remote"]` |
| `remoteOnly` | Only remote jobs | `true` |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only jobs published in the last N days | `7` |
| `includeDescription` | Add the plain-text description | `true` |
| `maxJobsPerCompany`, `maxItems` | Limits (0 = unlimited) | `100` |

**Tip:** the slug is the company part of its careers URL: `boards.greenhouse.io/`**`stripe`**, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/`**`openai`**, **`bunq`**`.recruitee.com`.

### Output (one item per job)

```json
{
  "provider": "lever",
  "companySlug": "spotify",
  "companyName": "spotify",
  "jobId": "2a55d6c9-c564-443a-be3e-a3851db5a93b",
  "title": "Account Executive - Commercial, Spotify Technology",
  "department": "Operations and Business Support",
  "team": "Platform",
  "location": "New York, NY",
  "country": "US",
  "remote": false,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "Permanent",
  "seniority": null,
  "salary": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-10-23T15:00:40.768000+00:00",
  "url": "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/2a55d6c9-...",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/2a55d6c9-.../apply",
  "description": "Spotify Technology is our business-to-business software team...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-27T21:16:36+00:00"
}
```

You can download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or XML, or read them through the Apify API.

### Use it as an API (Standby mode)

```
GET https://<your-standby-url>/?companies=stripe,openai&keywords=engineer&locations=remote&maxItems=50
Authorization: Bearer <APIFY_TOKEN>
```

It returns `{"count": N, "items": [...]}`. `POST /` with the same JSON as the Actor input also works.

### Pricing

Pay per result: you pay only for the jobs you get (see the *Pricing* tab). Set *Maximum cost per run* in the run options, and the Actor stops cleanly when that limit is reached.

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads only the public job-board endpoints that the ATS vendors provide so companies can publish their openings on their own websites. Job postings are information the companies publish to be seen. The Actor does not collect candidate or employee data. Use the results in line with the law that applies to you, including GDPR, and with the ATS vendors' terms.

**A company returns 0 jobs.** Either it uses an ATS this Actor doesn't cover yet (Workday, iCIMS, Teamtailor, …), or its slug is different from its name. Open its careers page and paste the URL instead. You can also open an issue in the *Issues* tab and I'll look at adding it.

**Why is a date missing?** Some ATSs don't publish one. Those jobs are kept even when *Posted within days* is set.

**Feedback and bugs:** use the *Issues* tab. I usually answer within 24–48 hours.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Company board slugs or careers-page URLs, e.g. <code>stripe</code>, <code>openai</code>, <code>https://jobs.lever.co/spotify</code>, <code>greenhouse:airbnb</code>. If you give only a name, every ATS is tried and the board with the most postings is used.

## `providers` (type: `array`):

Limit auto-detection to these ATSs. Empty = all.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep a job if its title, department or team contains any of these words (case-insensitive). Empty = all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. <code>senior</code>, <code>intern</code>.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep a job if its location or country contains any of these, e.g. <code>Berlin</code>, <code>Italy</code>, <code>IT</code>, <code>remote</code>.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only remote jobs.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs published in the last N days. 0 = any date. (Some ATSs don't publish a date; those jobs are kept.)

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the plain-text job description. Slower for SmartRecruiters (one extra request per job).

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

0 = no limit.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total. 0 = no limit.
