## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## idealo Scraper — prices and every shop's offer (Germany, Austria)

**idealo Scraper** searches **idealo.de** and **idealo.at**, Europe's largest price-comparison sites. For each product it returns the **lowest price, number of offers, rating and specs**, plus optionally **every shop's offer**: shop name, item price, **price including shipping**, delivery time and the shop's own listing title.

### What can this Actor do?

- 🛒 **Every shop's offer** for a product, with shipping included, so you see the real cheapest price.
- 📉 **Price statistics:** lowest, median and highest total price and the price spread across shops.
- 🔍 **Search by product or category**, e.g. `iphone 15 128gb` or `kaffeevollautomat`.
- 🇩🇪🇦🇹 **Germany and Austria** in one run.
- ⏱️ **Schedule it** for daily price monitoring and repricing.

### What data can I get?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `market`, `query`, `rank` | `DE`, `kaffeevollautomat`, `1` |
| `title`, `specs`, `url`, `imageUrl` | `Philips LatteGo 5400 Series` |
| `rating`, `reviewCount` | `4.5`, `39` |
| `offerCount`, `lowestPrice` | `43`, `425.99` |
| `lowestTotalPrice`, `cheapestShop`, `medianTotalPrice`, `priceSpreadPct` | `429`, `best-in-saeco.de`, `447.91`, `12.5` |
| `offers[]` | `shop`, `price`, `totalPriceInclShipping`, `deliveryTime`, `offerTitle`, `isBestTotalPrice` |

3. Choose **Germany** and/or **Austria**, and keep **Include every shop's offer** on.
4. Click **Start**, then open the **Output** tab.

### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": ["kaffeevollautomat", "iphone 16 128gb"],
  "markets": ["DE"],
  "maxProductsPerSearch": 36,
  "includeOffers": true
}
```

### Output example

  "rank": 1,
  "title": "Philips LatteGo 5400 Series",
  "rating": 4.5,
  "reviewCount": 39,
  "offerCount": 43,
  "lowestPrice": 425.99,
  "lowestTotalPrice": 429,
  "cheapestShop": "best-in-saeco.de",
  "medianTotalPrice": 447.91,
  "priceSpreadPct": 12.5,
  "url": "https://www.idealo.de/preisvergleich/OffersOfProduct/202691981_-lattego-5400-series-philips.html",
  "offers": [
    { "position": 1, "shop": "eBay", "price": 425.99, "totalPriceInclShipping": 432.98, "deliveryTime": "Mi. 28.10.–Mo. 02.11.2026" },
    { "position": 2, "shop": "best-in-saeco.de", "price": 429, "totalPriceInclShipping": 429, "isBestTotalPrice": true }
  ]
}
```
### How much does it cost?
You pay only for results: **$0.004 per product with all shop offers** and **$0.001 per search-only product**. Proxies are included and there's no start fee.
### Tips and limits
- Some results are **product families** (all variants of a model). They're returned without the offer list; search for the specific variant to get its offers.
- The offer list covers idealo's first offer page (the cheapest ~20 offers), which is where the price competition happens.
- Prices are in EUR, as shown on idealo at the time of the run. idealo's other country sites aren't supported.
