## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LinkedIn Jobs Scraper — salaries parsed, no login

**LinkedIn Jobs Scraper** collects job postings from LinkedIn's public job search, with the **full description**, **salary as numbers**, **applicant count**, **seniority**, **employment type**, **industries**, the **job poster** when shown, and optional **company details** (website, size, industry, headquarters). No LinkedIn account or cookies needed.

### What can this Actor do?

- 💰 **Salaries for most US jobs, not just a few.** LinkedIn's own salary box appears on under 10% of postings, but most US job ads state the pay range in the description. This Actor reads both and returns `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency` and `salaryPeriod` (hour or year), so you can filter and sort by pay.
- 🔎 **Search like on LinkedIn:** keywords, location, date posted, remote/hybrid/on-site, job type, experience level, Easy Apply, under 10 applicants. Or paste any LinkedIn job search URL.
- 📄 **Full job details:** description (text and HTML), seniority level, employment type, industries, applicant count, Easy Apply flag, job poster name and title.
- 🏢 **Company details (optional):** website, company size, industry, headquarters, founded year, followers.
- 🔔 **Only new jobs:** schedule it daily and get just the jobs it hasn't returned before.
- 🔓 **No login, no cookies:** uses LinkedIn's public, logged-out job pages, so your LinkedIn account is never involved.

```
### How much does it cost?
Pay per result, proxies included:
- **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** with full details (description, salary, applicants, seniority, poster).
- **$0.50 per 1,000 jobs** from search results only (turn off **Include job details**).
- **Company details are free:** no extra charge with **Include company details** on.
### Tips
- **More than 1,000 jobs:** LinkedIn shows about 1,000 results per search. Split a big search by location (states or cities) or by date posted.
- **Daily job feed:** set **Date posted** to *Past 24 hours*, turn on **Only new jobs since last run**, and schedule the Actor daily. Send results to Google Sheets, Slack or a webhook with Apify integrations.
- **Salary research:** filter the dataset on `salaryPeriod = year` and compare `salaryMin`/`salaryMax` across titles, companies or cities.
### Common questions
**Do I need a LinkedIn account or cookies?** No. The Actor only reads LinkedIn's public, logged-out job pages, so your account is never involved or at risk.
**Why don't all jobs have a salary?** Many employers don't publish pay. US states with pay-transparency laws (California, New York, Washington, Colorado and others) require it, so coverage is highest there: in tests, about 70% of US software engineering jobs had a salary, against under 10% from LinkedIn's own salary box.
**Job ads contain names. Anything to watch?** The job poster's name and title are shown publicly on some ads. If you store them, check the privacy rules that apply to you (such as GDPR).
### FAQ
#### Is it legal to scrape this data?
This Actor collects only publicly available data that anyone can see in a browser without logging in. It doesn't access accounts or private data. You're responsible for how you use the data: check the website's terms and the laws that apply to you, especially if you store personal information.
#### Can I use it with the API, Python, Google Sheets or Zapier?
Yes. You can start runs and fetch results through the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2) or the official [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python) and [JavaScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js) clients, and send results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook.
#### Can I run it on a schedule?
Yes. In Apify Console, open **Schedules** to run it hourly, daily or weekly, and get the new data automatically.
#### Something isn't working, or I need a feature
Open an issue in the **Issues** tab. Issues get a quick reply, and feature requests are welcome. Custom scraping work is also possible; mention it in an issue.
