## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper: Any myworkdayjobs.com Careers Site

Get every open job from company careers sites hosted on **Workday** (`myworkdayjobs.com`, `myworkdaysite.com`), the recruiting system used by thousands of large employers such as NVIDIA, Salesforce, Bank of America, Pfizer and Boeing. Type **company names**, paste **careers page URLs**, or just **pick an industry** (Banking, Pharma, Semiconductors…) and the Actor finds the companies for you. Filter by title, location, remote or hybrid, and posting date. Turn on **monitor mode** to receive only jobs that are new since your last run.

The Actor reads the same public JSON endpoints that Workday careers pages load in your browser. No login, no cookies, no browser, no proxies.

### What you get

- **Just type a company name**: `NVIDIA`, `Bank of America`, `AT&T`. Names are matched against a built-in directory of 100+ large employers, and any other company is looked up on Workday automatically. No need to find the careers URL yourself.
- **Find companies by industry**: Banking, Finance, Insurance, Payments, Pharma, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Semiconductors, Software, Technology, Aerospace & Defense, Energy, Consulting and more.
- **Every job, even at very big companies**: Workday's careers pages stop at 2,000 jobs per search. The Actor splits large sites by job category or location automatically, so a company with 5,000+ openings is still returned in full.
- **Fast daily runs**: Workday lists the newest jobs first. With *Posted within (days)* set, the Actor reads only the newest pages and stops.
- **Clean, normalized fields**: title, company, req ID, locations, country, `workplaceType` (`remote`, `hybrid`, `onsite`), `employmentType` (`full-time`, `part-time`…), posting date and job URL.
- **Optional full description** as HTML and plain text.
- **Monitor mode**: schedule the Actor and get only new jobs every day.

### Use cases

- Track hiring at competitors, customers or target accounts that run on Workday.
- Find sales signals: every bank hiring a "Head of Data" this week.
- Build a job board, newsletter or alert feed for an industry, a city or a role.
- Feed fresh job data to recruiting tools, CRMs, spreadsheets or AI agents.
- Research which teams and locations a company is growing.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `companies` | Company names (`NVIDIA`, `Bank of America`) or Workday careers page URLs (`https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, a job URL from that site, or `https://wd1.myworkdaysite.com/recruiting/cardinalhealth/EXT`). Optional when `industries` is set. |
| `industries` | Industries from the company directory below. Every directory company with one of these labels is added. |
| `keywords` | Keep jobs whose title contains any of these words. Also speeds up big companies, because Workday's own search is used first. |
| `excludeKeywords` | Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words. |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only jobs posted in the last N days (1 to 30). |
| `locations` | Keep jobs whose location or country contains any of these texts, e.g. `London`, `Germany`, `India`. |
| `workplaceTypes` | `remote`, `hybrid`, `onsite`. |
| `includeDescription` | Add the full description and all job details. |
| `maxJobs` | Stop after this many jobs. |
| `onlyNewJobs` + `monitorName` | Monitor mode. The first run returns all matching jobs and saves them as the baseline; later runs return only new ones. |

Example: data and engineering jobs posted in the last 7 days at three companies.

```json
{
  "companies": ["NVIDIA", "Salesforce", "https://adobe.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/external_experienced"],
  "keywords": ["data", "engineer"],
  "excludeKeywords": ["intern"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7
}
```

Example: a daily feed of new remote or hybrid jobs at banks in the US.

```json
{
  "industries": ["Banking"],
  "locations": ["United States", "USA"],
  "workplaceTypes": ["remote", "hybrid"],
  "postedWithinDays": 3,
  "onlyNewJobs": true,
  "monitorName": "us-banks"
}
```

Schedule it once a day in Apify Console (Schedules) and connect the dataset to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make or a webhook.

### Company directory

These companies can be used by name or through `industries`. Each company may have more labels than the one shown (e.g. Johnson & Johnson is also *Medical Devices* and *Healthcare*). Any other company on Workday works too: type its name or paste its careers URL.

### Output

One dataset item per job. Without job details:

```json
{
  "id": "workday:nvidia:NVIDIAExternalCareerSite:Senior-Package-Layout-Engineer---Hardware_JR2028579-1",
  "companyName": "NVIDIA",
  "companyIndustries": ["Semiconductors", "Technology"],
  "workdayTenant": "nvidia",
  "careerSite": "NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "careerSiteUrl": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
  "title": "Senior Package Layout Engineer - Hardware",
  "jobReqId": "JR2028579",
  "locationsText": "India, Bengaluru",
  "locations": ["India, Bengaluru"],
  "country": null,
  "workplaceType": null,
  "employmentType": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-10-24",
  "postedText": "Posted Today",
  "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite/job/India-Bengaluru/Senior-Package-Layout-Engineer---Hardware_JR2028579-1",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-24T15:11:21.527Z"
}
```

With `includeDescription` (or a `locations` / `workplaceTypes` filter), each job's page is loaded and the item also has every location, the country, workplace type, employment type and the exact posting date:

```json
{
  "title": "Manager/Senior Manager, Technical Consulting — Revenue Cloud Advanced(RCA)",
  "companyName": "Salesforce",
  "jobReqId": "JR353632",
  "locationsText": "2 Locations",
  "locations": ["India - Hyderabad", "India - Bangalore"],
  "country": "India",
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "full-time",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-24",
  "descriptionHtml": "<p>…</p>",
  "descriptionText": "…"
}
```

A run summary (careers sites scanned, sites not found or failed, job counts) is saved as `SUMMARY` in the default key-value store.

### Pricing

You pay per job returned: **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** ($0.001 per job) plus $0.00005 per run. Platform usage (compute) is included, including loading job details.

| Example | Jobs returned | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| All open jobs at NVIDIA (2,700+ jobs) | 2,742 | $2.74 |
| One company, title keywords, `maxJobs: 100` | 100 | $0.10 |
| Daily monitor (`onlyNewJobs`) of 13 banks, US + remote/hybrid | 19 on the first day, 0 when nothing is new | $0.019, then $0.00005 |

Jobs filtered out and jobs already returned in monitor mode are free. Set `maxJobs` or a spending limit on the run to cap the cost.

### Notes

- `postedAt` is a date (`YYYY-MM-DD`). Without job details it comes from Workday's "Posted 3 Days Ago" text and may differ by one day because of the company's time zone. Jobs older than 30 days show `"Posted 30+ Days Ago"` and `postedAt: null`, unless job details are loaded.
- Without job details, a job in several places has `locationsText: "3 Locations"` and an empty `locations` list. Turn on `includeDescription` to get every location.
- `workplaceType` comes from the company's own remote type field on the job page ("Remote", "Hybrid", "Office - Flexible"…) or from "Remote" in the location. It is `null` when the company does not say.
- When a company has several Workday careers sites (students, internal, one per country), a name picks the public site with the most jobs. Paste a URL to choose a specific site.
- Monitor mode uses a key-value store in your Apify account named after `monitorName`. Use a different monitor name for each set of filters.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Workday account or API key?** No. The Actor uses the public endpoints of the careers pages, exactly what a job seeker's browser loads.

**How do I find a company's Workday URL?** You usually don't need it: type the company name. If a name is not found, open the company's careers page, click a job, and copy the address when it contains `myworkdayjobs.com`.

**Why is a company not found?** It may not use Workday (many use Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SuccessFactors or their own site), or its Workday name differs from its brand name. Paste the careers URL instead.

**How fast is it?** About 20 jobs per request. A company with 1,000 jobs takes around a minute; with *Posted within (days)* set to a few days it usually takes seconds.

**Is it legal?** The Actor only reads job postings that companies publish openly for job seekers. It does not log in, bypass protections or collect personal data. Check the terms of the sites you scrape and your local laws for your use case.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Company names (e.g. "NVIDIA", "Bank of America") or Workday careers page URLs (anything on myworkdayjobs.com or myworkdaysite.com, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite). Names are matched against the built-in directory first, then looked up on Workday automatically. Optional when you pick industries below.

## `industries` (type: `array`):

Don't know the companies? Pick industries and the Actor adds every company in its built-in directory of 100+ large employers on Workday with that label. Combine with title keywords to keep the result small.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these words (case-insensitive). Also makes runs faster on big companies, because Workday's own search is used first.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs posted in the last N days (1 to 30). Workday only shows exact posting age for the last 30 days. Small values make runs much faster, because only the newest pages are read. 0 = no date filter.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location or country contains at least one of these texts, e.g. "London", "Germany", "India". Loads each job's detail page, so runs take longer.

## `workplaceTypes` (type: `array`):

Keep only these workplace types. Uses the company's remote type on the job page, or "Remote" in the location. Jobs with unknown workplace type are dropped when this is set. Loads each job's detail page.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Load each job's page: full description (HTML and plain text), all locations, country, exact posting date, employment type and remote type. One extra request per returned job.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. 0 = no limit.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Return only jobs not returned by earlier runs with the same monitor name. The first run returns everything and saves it as the baseline. Use with a daily schedule and "Posted within" = 3 for a cheap feed of new jobs.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Separate monitors keep separate history. Use one monitor name per set of filters. Letters, numbers and hyphens.
