## Pricing

from $0.64 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Himalayas Remote Jobs Search & Feed (unofficial)

Reads remote jobs from [Himalayas](https://himalayas.app), through the free jobs
API Himalayas publishes. This Actor is unofficial and is not affiliated with or
endorsed by Himalayas. Every job it returns links back to its page on Himalayas
and names Himalayas as the source, as Himalayas asks.

### What it does

Without search terms it reads the latest remote jobs of every kind, newest
first. With search terms it searches Himalayas once per term, newest first, and
can limit the search to jobs open to applicants in one country.

For each job it returns the title, the company, the employment type, the
seniority, Himalayas' categories, the countries and time zones the job is open
to, the salary range where the post gives one, when it was posted and when it
expires, a short summary, and the job's page on Himalayas.

It does not return the full job description: descriptions can name recruiters
and give their contact details, and this Actor returns jobs, not people.
Requests are paced at no more than two at a time and sixty a minute.

### Input

| Field         | Type            | Default | Meaning                                                        |
| ------------- | --------------- | ------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `searchTerms` | list of strings | empty | Job titles or skills. Empty reads the latest jobs. |
| `country` | string | empty | ISO code or name; only jobs open there. Applies to searches. |
| `maxItems`    | integer         | 100     | Stop after this many jobs across all search terms.             |

```json
{ "searchTerms": ["react developer", "accountant"], "country": "DE", "maxItems": 40 }
```

### Pricing

You pay per result: a small charge when a run starts, and a charge for each job
written to the dataset. The run stops when it reaches `maxItems` or the spending
limit you set, whichever comes first, so a run never costs more than you
allowed.

### Limits

- Himalayas asks that its jobs are not submitted to other job boards (for
  example Jooble, Neuvoo, Google Jobs or LinkedIn Jobs). Please respect that, and
  link back to each job's page on Himalayas when you show it.
- Himalayas rate-limits its API; very large runs may take a while.
- Salary, countries and time zones are what each post gives; many posts give no
  salary.
- If Himalayas changes its API, the Actor returns fewer fields or none until it
  is repaired.
