## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Landing Page Audit

Give it landing page URLs and get a conversion audit for each one: a score from 0 to 100, seven sub-scores, the problems ranked by impact with a concrete fix for each, headline and call-to-action rewrites, quick wins, mobile notes, and an AI-readiness check (can ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity read and cite the page).

Every page is loaded in a real browser on desktop and on mobile. An AI model reviews the screenshots and the copy and scores seven conversion areas, the way a CRO consultant would. It is the same audit that runs at [pagecritic.app](https://pagecritic.app).

### What you get for each URL

| | Full report (default) | Free result |
|---|---|---|
| Conversion score and 7 sub-scores (clarity, value proposition, call to action, trust, design, mobile, SEO basics) | Yes | Yes |
| Problems, each with why it matters and how to fix it | All 10–15, ranked by impact | The 3 biggest |
| What already works | Yes | Yes |
| Headline rewrites | 3 | – |
| Call-to-action rewrites | 3 | – |
| Quick wins you can ship in under an hour | 5 | – |
| Mobile review | Yes | – |
| AI readiness | Score, findings, per-bot access and fixes to paste (robots.txt, JSON-LD, llms.txt) | Score and the top finding |
| Link to a shareable web version of the report | Yes | Yes |

### Input

```json
{
  "urls": ["https://plausible.io"],
  "fullReport": true
}
```

- `urls`: the pages to audit, up to 50 per run. Duplicates are removed.
- `fullReport`: off (default) for the free result, on for the full report.

### Output

One dataset item per URL. Shortened example:

### Pricing

Pay per event. You pay only for pages that were audited:

- **Free result** (default): **$0.10 per URL**
- **Full report** (`fullReport` on): **$4.99 per URL**

Platform usage is included. A page that can't be audited (it blocks automated browsers, times out or isn't a web page) returns an item with an `error` field and is not charged. You can set a maximum charge per run; the run stops when it is reached.

### Good to know

- An audit takes 30 to 90 seconds per page. The URLs in a run are audited one after another.
- Public pages only. Pages behind a login can't be audited.
- Some sites show automated browsers a bot check (Cloudflare, for example). Those pages return an error item, free of charge.
- In a busy hour some URLs can come back with a "try again later" error, also free of charge. Run them again a little later.
- Questions or a report that looks wrong: hello@pagecritic.app.
