## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Legal Notice Extractor: France, Italy, Spain & UK

**The company behind a French, Italian, Spanish or British website, read from its legal notice and checked by control digit:**

- **France:** SIREN and SIRET, VAT ID, RCS city, share capital, legal form, registered office, *directeur de la publication* and host (*mentions légales*);
- **Italy:** Partita IVA, tax code, REA, Registro delle Imprese, share capital and certified email (PEC), often from the homepage footer;
- **Spain:** CIF, Registro Mercantil with tomo, folio and hoja, and registered address (*aviso legal*);
- **UK:** Companies House number, VAT number and registered office.

Every number is checked with its control digit (Luhn for SIREN and SIRET, the French VAT key, the Partita IVA check digit, the CIF control, the UK VAT modulus 97), so a German tax number labelled "Partita IVA" or an FCA firm number next to the word "registration" is not taken.

### Who uses it

- **KYB, onboarding and fraud checks:** match a merchant's website to its official company ID, then look it up in the national register.
- **B2B lead enrichment:** add the legal name, company ID and VAT ID to a list of domains before invoicing or CRM import.
- **Compliance and marketplaces:** check that a seller's site shows the legal data the law requires.

### What you get

One row per website:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `domain`, `country` | swile.co, FR |
| `companyName`, `legalForm` | Swile, SAS |
| `companyId`, `companyIdType` | 824012173, SIREN (or Partita IVA, CIF, Company number) |
| `siret`, `vatId`, `vatIdValid` | SIRET when shown; FR67824012173, true |
| `register`, `rea`, `taxCode` | RCS Montpellier; Italian REA and tax code |
| `shareCapital`, `shareCapitalAmount` | 90 402,50 EUR, 90402.5 |
| `address` | Registered office as written |
| `publicationDirector`, `hostingProvider` | France: Loïc Soubeyrand, Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL |
| `pec`, `emails` | Italian certified email; emails on the page |
| `otherCompanies` | Other companies named with a valid ID (group companies, partners) |
| `noticeUrl`, `status`, `error`, `pagesVisited`, `scrapedAt` | Where the data was read, or why not |

The **OUTPUT** record has the status of each website and the count by country.

### Input

A few well-known sites:

```json
{
  "websites": ["swile.co", "esselunga.it", "lavanguardia.com", "pret.co.uk", "boursorama.com"]
}
```

Italian shops, read faster:

```json
{
  "websites": ["tannico.it", "ibs.it", "iliad.it", "aruba.it"],
  "maxConcurrency": 10
}
```

Full URLs work too:

```json
{
  "websites": ["https://www.sezane.com/", "https://www.20minutos.es/"]
}
```

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `websites` | Domains or URLs, one per line (up to 10,000 per run). |
| `maxConcurrency` | Websites read in parallel (5 by default); each website gets one request at a time. |

### How much it costs

Pay per event: **only for websites where a company ID was found**. Websites without one, blocked or unreachable are saved with the reason and cost nothing. Measured on 2026-10-02: 11 of 13 well-known sites identified, in a few seconds each.

### Use it from AI agents (MCP)

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client can run this Actor as a tool: add `https://mcp.apify.com?tools=digital_influx/eu-legal-notice` as a remote MCP server and sign in with your Apify account. It is also one of the tools of Company Research MCP (`digital_influx/company-research-mcp`), by the same author, made for agents.

### Good to know

- **Where the data is read:** the legal notice linked from the homepage (*mentions légales*, *note legali*, *aviso legal*, *legal notice*, *imprint*), else the usual path of the site's country, else the homepage footer.
- **One company per row:** when a page names several, the row has the one named most often (the operator), and the others go to `otherCompanies`.
- **Pages built with JavaScript** show no text to a simple reader: those rows say `no_data` and are free.
- **Respectful by design:** robots.txt is followed for this robot (`eu-legal-notice`), and a site that answers 403 is reported, never worked around.
- **Germany, Austria and Switzerland:** use German Impressum Scraper (`german-impressum`), with the commercial register and managing directors.

### Sources

The legal notices that French (LCEN art. 6), Italian (DPR 633/1972 art. 35), Spanish (LSSI art. 10) and British (Companies Regulations 2008, reg. 25) law requires websites to publish. The Actor reads only these public pages; it does not query any register.

# Actor input Schema

## `websites` (type: `array`):

Company websites, one per line: a domain like swile.co or a full URL. The Actor finds the legal notice (mentions légales, note legali, aviso legal, legal notice) on the homepage, or reads the company number in its footer.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many websites are read in parallel. Each website gets one request at a time.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "websites": [
    "swile.co",
    "esselunga.it",
    "lavanguardia.com",
    "pret.co.uk",
    "boursorama.com"
  ],
  "maxConcurrency": 5
}
