## Pricing

from $4.50 / 1,000 investors

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

*(scrapes venture capital funds and investors from **VCSheet.com**)*

### What is VC Sheet Scraper?

**VC Sheet Scraper** extracts **venture capital funds and investors** from VC Sheet, with **emails**, **team emails**, stages, sectors, check sizes, portfolio websites and social links. Pick funds, investors or both, set how many you want, narrow them down by **stage, sector, check size, geography** or **lead rounds**, and download the data as **JSON, CSV or Excel**.

What it gives you:

- **Full profiles**, not just the list: every fund and investor comes with its whole profile page.
- **One fund = the fund plus its whole team.** Each fund comes with **about 3 partners on average** (a16z comes with 36), and each partner has their email, LinkedIn, Twitter, Crunchbase, photo, bio and where they worked.
- **94% of funds come with at least one email.** Only about 1 in 3 funds shows its own email, so the partner emails make the difference: over 3,100 partner emails across all funds.
- **Filters** that match the ones on VC Sheet, so you only pay for the funds and investors you need.
- **Portfolio websites**, notable investments, press articles and video interviews.
- Everything the Apify platform adds: **API access, scheduled runs, integrations** (Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, webhooks) and run monitoring.

### How to scrape VC Sheet

1. Click **Try for free** at the top of this page. Sign in, or create a free Apify account (no credit card needed). The Actor opens on its **Input** tab.
2. In **Funds, investors or both**, pick **Funds**, **Investors** or both.
3. Set **Max funds** and **Max investors**: how many results you want of each. VC Sheet lists about 1,100 funds and 3,500 investors. For a quick first test, leave both at 25.
4. Under **Filters**, pick values in **Stages**, **Sectors**, **Check size**, **Geographies** or **Leads rounds** to narrow the list down, if you like.
5. Click **Start** at the bottom of the page. Results show up in the **Output** tab while the run works.
6. When the run finishes, click **Export** and download your data in JSON, CSV, or Excel format.

### What data can you extract from VC Sheet?

#### Funds and investors

- **type**: `fund` or `investor`
- **name**: fund or investor name
- **email**: contact email (investors: their own email; funds: the fund's contact email)
- **website**, **linkedin**, **twitter**, **crunchbase**: links
- **description**: short summary
- **about**: longer profile text
- **stages**: stages they invest in (Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, Series B+)
- **sectors**: sectors they invest in
- **geographies**: regions they invest in
- **checkSize**: typical check size, as written on the profile
- **checkSizeBands**: check size ranges they fit
- **leadsRounds**: whether they lead rounds
- **notableInvestments**: companies they backed (name, sector, profile link)
- **videos**: YouTube interviews
- **videoQuotes**: quotes from their video interviews (topic, quote, speaker)
- **sheets**: VC Sheet lists they appear in
- **imageUrl**: logo or photo
- **profileUrl**: VC Sheet profile link
- **profileUpdatedAt**: when the profile was last updated
- **slug**: short id from the profile link
- **scrapedAt**: when it was scraped

#### Funds only

- **location**: city (sometimes with the state)
- **contactNote**: the fund's own "best way to get in touch" note (form link, warm intro, email)
- **team**: every partner at the fund (name, title, email, LinkedIn, Twitter, Crunchbase, photo, short bio, about, where they worked, videos, profile update date)
- **teamEmails**: all partner emails in one list
- **portfolioDomains**: websites of their portfolio companies
- **deepTechRanking**, **deepTechUrl**: Deep-Tech.com VC ranking, when the fund has one
- **press**: press articles (title, source, link)

#### Investors only

- **jobTitle**, **fundName**, **fundProfileUrl**, **fundWebsite**: their role and fund
- **verified**: verified by VC Sheet
- **interests**: what they talk about most
- **workedAt**: websites of companies they worked at
- **fundAbout**: about their fund
- **fundPortfolioDomains**: websites of their fund's portfolio companies

Not every profile has every detail, so some fields are empty on some results.

### How much does it cost to scrape VC Sheet?

This Actor is paid per result. You pay a fixed price for each fund and each investor saved (plus $0.00005 each time a run starts), not for Apify platform usage. The price drops on higher Apify plans:

| Apify plan | 1,000 funds | 1,000 investors |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $18.00 | $6.00 |
| Starter | $16.50 | $5.50 |
| Scale | $15.00 | $5.00 |
| Business | $13.50 | $4.50 |

- **1,000 funds come with about 3,200 partner profiles and about 2,800 partner emails included**, which is why a fund costs more than an investor.
- **Every fund on VC Sheet** (about 1,100) costs about $20 on the Free plan. **Every investor** (about 3,500) costs about $21 on the Free plan.
- The Apify Free plan gives you $5 of credit every month: enough for over 270 funds or over 800 investors.

Filters help you pay only for the results you need.

### Sample output

In CSV and Excel, lists are joined with `; ` and each partner gets numbered columns: `team/0/...` is the first partner, `team/1/...` the second, and so on. Long text is cut with `...` here.

### FAQ

#### How many funds and investors are on VC Sheet?

About 1,100 funds and 3,500 investors are listed.

#### How do the filters work?

Several values in one filter match any of them. Several filters must all match. The **Leads rounds** filter applies to funds only.

#### Why is a field empty?

Not every profile has every detail. For example, most investors have no personal website, and most funds show no contact email of their own. A fund without its own email usually has partner emails in **teamEmails**.

#### Is it legal to scrape VC Sheet?

This Actor collects only data that VC Sheet shows publicly. Some results, such as names and emails, are personal data, which laws like the GDPR protect. Only use personal data when you have a legitimate reason. If you are not sure, ask a lawyer. Read more in [Is web scraping legal?](https://blog.apify.com/is-web-scraping-legal/)

#### Can I use it through the API or an MCP server?

Yes. Start runs and download results from your own code with the Apify API (JavaScript, Python or plain HTTP), or let an AI assistant run it through the Apify MCP server. Ready-to-copy examples are in the **API** section below.

#### Which integrations work?

Send results to Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, Slack, Airbyte or your own webhook when a run finishes. Schedule a weekly or monthly run to keep your investor list up to date; **profileUpdatedAt** shows which profiles changed.

#### Can you build a custom version?

Yes. If you need other fields, another site or a different format, email southdionysus@gmail.com.

#### Where can I get help if something goes wrong?

Please open an issue on the Actor's page first. You can also email southdionysus@gmail.com.

*Start your run now and get a ready-to-use investor list in minutes.*
