## Pricing

from $1.20 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Coles Product Scraper

Scrape products and prices from [Coles](https://www.coles.com.au) (Australia) by category or by search term. One row per product: name, brand, size, price, was price, unit price, specials, availability, image and category.

### What you get

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id` | string | Coles product ID |
| `name` | string | Product name without brand |
| `brand` | string | Brand name |
| `description` | string | Short description as shown by Coles |
| `size` | string | Pack size, for example `3L` or `500g` |
| `url` | string | Product page URL |
| `price` | number | Current price in AUD |
| `was_price` | number or null | Previous price in AUD when discounted |
| `unit_price` | string | Comparable unit price, for example `$1.65/ 1L` |
| `on_special` | boolean | True when the product has a promotion or a was price |
| `available` | boolean | Whether Coles lists the product as available |
| `image_url` | string | Product image URL |
| `category` | string | Category path |
| `scraped_at` | string | UTC time the product was scraped, ISO 8601 |

### Input

- `categoryUrls`: Coles category pages, copied from the browser address bar. Sub-categories work too.
- `searchTerms`: keywords to search on Coles.

Give at least one category URL or one search term.

- `maxItems`: stop after this many products in total. Default 100.
- `proxyConfiguration`: proxy used for all requests.

```json
{
  "categoryUrls": ["https://www.coles.com.au/browse/dairy-eggs-fridge/milk"],
  "searchTerms": ["oat milk"],
  "maxItems": 100
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "id": "1054581",
  "name": "Protein Smoothie Chocolate",
  "brand": "Dairy Farmers",
  "description": "DAIRY FARMERS PROTEIN SMOOTHIE CHOCOLATE 400ML",
  "size": "400mL",
  "url": "https://www.coles.com.au/product/dairy-farmers-protein-smoothie-chocolate-400ml-1054581",
  "price": 3.3,
  "was_price": 4.55,
  "unit_price": "$8.25/ 1L",
  "on_special": true,
  "available": true,
  "image_url": "https://cdn.productimages.coles.com.au/productimages/1/1054581.jpg",
  "category": "Dairy, Eggs & Fridge > Milk > Flavoured Milk",
  "scraped_at": "2026-10-12T13:11:52+00:00"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: one `product` event per product saved. Products without a price are skipped and not charged. The run stops cleanly when your maximum charge per run is reached.

### Limitations

- Prices and availability are the ones Coles shows to a visitor who has not chosen a store. Store-specific prices and stock are not included.
- No reviews and no personal data.

### For AI agents

Minimal input:

```json
{ "categoryUrls": ["https://www.coles.com.au/browse/dairy-eggs-fridge"], "maxItems": 20 }
```

Each dataset item is one product with the fields listed under "What you get". `price` and `was_price` are numbers in AUD.
