## Pricing

from $0.03 / 1,000 job scrapeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Reed Jobs Scraper: reed.co.uk UK Job Listings

Reed Jobs Scraper exports job ads from the UK job board **reed.co.uk** by keyword and location or from any Reed search URL you paste. Each row has the title, company, location, salary, posted and expiry dates and work pattern, and an optional details pass adds the full description, contract type and sector. It uses plain HTTP requests, so it needs no login, no browser and no proxy.

### What data do you get?

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `title`, `company` | Registered Nurse, Superior Healthcare Group |
| `location`, `county` | Dover, Kent |
| `salary` | £ 27.00 - £ 29.00 per hour (Reed's own wording, or "Competitive salary") |
| `salaryFrom`, `salaryTo`, `salaryPeriod` | 27, 29, hour |
| `postedAt`, `expiresAt` | 2026-10-23T11:12:29, 2026-12-04T23:55:00 |
| `isFullTime`, `isPartTime`, `workingOption` | false, true, onSite |
| `snippet` | The short summary from the search results |

| With details: `contractType`, `sector`, `parentSector` | Permanent, Registered Nurse Band 5, Health & Medicine |
| With details: `isAgency`, `isRemote` | false, false |
| With details: `description`, `descriptionHtml` | Full ad text, as plain text and HTML |

### Who uses it

- **Recruitment agencies**: see which employers and agencies advertise a role, where, and at what rate.
- **Labour market analysts**: track UK vacancies and pay by sector, region and contract type.
- **Job boards and aggregators**: feed fresh UK listings into your own search.
- **Job seekers**: pull every matching ad into a spreadsheet and sort by salary.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free**.
2. Type keywords and a location, or paste a reed.co.uk search URL with your filters already set.
3. Click **Start**, then download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read them through the Apify API.

#### Input example

}
```
| `location` | Optional town, city or county for keyword searches |
| `includeDetails` | Opens each job page for description, contract type, sector and agency flag (one extra `job-details` event per job) |
| `maxItems` | Hard cap on results, so you control the cost |
  "isPartTime": true,
  "workingOption": "onSite",
  "isEasyApply": false,
  "snippet": "Description Registered Nurse – Dover Location: Dover, Kent ...",
  "url": "https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/registered-nurse/57413746",
  "searchQuery": "registered nurse",
  "contractType": "Permanent",
  "descriptionHtml": "<p><b>Description</b></p> ..."
}
```

### How much does it cost?

- **$0.04 per 1,000 jobs** from search results (`result-item` event, $0.00004 each).
- **$0.60 per 1,000 jobs** for the full details pass (`job-details` event, $0.0006 each), charged only for jobs whose details were fetched.

A run of 1,000 jobs with full details costs $0.64; without details it costs $0.04. Each run also has a $0.00005 start fee (one event per GB of memory, and the default 256 MB counts as one), and duplicate jobs across your searches are skipped and never charged. Set **Max results** to cap the cost of a run. Apify Bronze, Silver and Gold subscribers pay 10, 20 and 30 percent less per job.

### FAQ

**How many jobs can one search return?** The actor follows Reed's pages until the results end. In testing it collected 220 London warehouse jobs over 9 pages in 25 seconds.

**How fast are detailed runs?** In testing, 40 jobs with full details took 28 seconds, because each job page is opened (5 at a time, with a polite delay).

**Can I use Reed's own filters?** Yes. Set salary, contract type, distance or date filters on reed.co.uk, copy the address bar URL and paste it into `searches`.

**Do I need a Reed account or API key?** No. The actor reads the same public pages any visitor sees.

**Something broke or a field is missing.** Open an issue on the Issues tab and it gets fixed.

### Legal note

This actor collects public job ads that reed.co.uk shows to any visitor without logging in, and it follows the site's robots.txt rules for search pages. It does not collect applicant data or personal contact details. You are responsible for how you use the results, including compliance with Reed's terms and the privacy laws that apply to you, such as UK GDPR.

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

One search per line: keywords such as 'warehouse' or 'registered nurse', or a reed.co.uk search URL copied from your browser with filters already set, for example https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/accountant-jobs-in-london?salaryFrom=40000.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional town, city or county for keyword searches, for example 'London' or 'Manchester'. Ignored for pasted URLs.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each job page for the full description, salary as Reed shows it, contract type, sector and agency flag. Charged as one extra 'job-details' event per job. Turn off for the cheapest, fastest runs.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total. You pay only for jobs saved. Duplicate jobs across your searches are skipped and never charged.
