## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Career Site Jobs — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable & more

Get **every open job of the companies you care about**, straight from the system each company uses to publish its jobs. Give company names or careers page URLs; get clean, identical rows whichever system the company runs on.

**$2 per 1,000 jobs.** Companies without a public job board are listed with the reason and cost nothing.

### Why this one

- **Direct from the source.** Jobs come from the company's own applicant tracking system (ATS), so they are live, complete and free of reposts and spam.
- **7 systems, one format:** Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee and Personio.
- **Finds the board for you.** Type `stripe` and it is tried on every system; paste `https://www.notion.so/careers` and the embedded board is detected on the page.
- **Salary ranges** where the company publishes them (common on Ashby and Lever, required in many US states).
- **Remote / hybrid / onsite**, department, team, employment type, posting date, apply link, and optionally the full description.
- **No browser, no proxies, fast:** a 700-job company takes about two seconds.

### Use cases

- Job search agents and job boards for a list of target employers
- **Hiring signals** for sales and investors: who is hiring sales engineers in Berlin this month?
- Competitor and market research: team growth, new offices, salary bands
- Recruiting: watch new roles at companies you source from (schedule the run daily with `postedWithinDays: 1`)

### Input

```json
{
  "companies": ["stripe", "https://www.notion.so/careers", "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["London", "remote"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 1000
}
```

A board URL is the most reliable input. Names work when the company's board slug matches its name.

### Output

One row per job:

```json
{"input": "Ramp", "company": "Ramp", "ats": "ashby", "board": "ramp", "job_id": "390f4cd0-...",
 "title": "Partner Development Representative", "department": "Sales", "team": "Channel Sales",
 "location": "New York, NY (HQ)", "country": "USA", "remote": false, "workplace_type": "hybrid",
 "employment_type": "FullTime", "posted_at": "2026-11-04T03:18:27Z", "updated_at": null,
 "salary_min": 110000, "salary_max": 140000, "salary_currency": "USD", "salary_period": "year",
 "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/390f4cd0-...", "apply_url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/390f4cd0-.../application",
 "description": null}
```

### Notes

- Only job postings the company publishes through its ATS's public job-board API. Recruiter names and contact mailboxes are not collected.
- Companies on other systems (Workday, iCIMS, SuccessFactors, Taleo) or with a custom careers site are listed with an error row at no charge.
- Workable limits how fast boards can be read; very large Workable lists may need a lower concurrency.

### Also available as an API

The same lookup is available per call over HTTP (x402, paid in USDC) and as an MCP tool for AI assistants at https://bess-x402.onrender.com (`/v1/jobs/company`).

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line: a company name (stripe), its careers page (https://www.notion.so/careers) or its job board URL (https://jobs.lever.co/spotify, https://boards.greenhouse.io/figma). Names are tried on every supported system; a URL is more reliable.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any of these words, e.g. engineer, data. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose location contains any of these, e.g. London, Germany, remote. Leave empty for all.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs the company marks as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Keep only jobs published in the last N days. Leave empty for all.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add each job's full description as plain text. Same price.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Newest jobs first. You pay per job returned, so lower this to cap the cost.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many companies are fetched at the same time.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "stripe",
    "https://www.notion.so/careers",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/spotify"
  ],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 1000,
  "concurrency": 5
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

Open jobs with company, ATS, title, department, location, remote flag, employment type, dates, salary range and links, one row per job.
