## Pricing

from $3.50 / 1,000 store checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Image Size Checker: Merchant Center 500x500 (2027)

**From 31 January 2027, Google Merchant Center requires product images (`image_link` and `additional_image_link`) of at
least 500x500 pixels in every product category and marketing method.** Smaller images are disapproved; some are upscaled
automatically with a warning in *Needs attention*. Merchant Center already warns "Image too small for upcoming
enforcement". (Source: [Merchant Center product data specification update](https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/16989427).)

This Actor checks **whole Shopify stores in bulk** — your own, your clients', or prospects' — through each store's public
`products.json`, and lists every product image that is too small, with the product handle, title, image URL and size.

Built for **Shopify agencies and freelancers** (audit client stores, find stores that need image work), **feed managers**
and **merchants** who want the list before Merchant Center starts disapproving products.

### Input

```json
{ "storeUrls": ["https://www.example-store.com", "another-store.myshopify.com"], "maxPagesPerStore": 10 }
```

### Output (one item per store)

```json
{
  "store": "https://www.kettleandfire.com",
  "status": "at-risk",
  "productsChecked": 97,
  "imagesChecked": 441,
  "imagesUnder500": 16,
  "productsAffected": 13,
  "smallImages": [{"handle": "...", "title": "...", "src": "https://cdn.shopify.com/...", "width": 480, "height": 480}],
  "action": "Upload images of at least 500x500 px for these products..."
}
```

(Real counts from a check on 27 Oct 2026.)

### Pricing

Pay per store checked. Stores that can't be read (not Shopify, products.json disabled, rate-limited) are free.

### Good to know

- Requests are paced (Shopify rate-limits bursts); one store is checked at a time, 250 products per request.
- Images without width/height in products.json are skipped.
- This covers the size rule only; Merchant Center also has rules on watermarks, text overlays and placeholders.
