## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AliExpress Product Scraper: Search, Details and Price Tracker

Get public AliExpress product data from keywords, category pages, product pages or product IDs. You get price, original price, discount, rating, units sold, images, store, shipping and SKU variants, for the ship-to country and currency you choose. A tracking mode returns only new products and price changes since the last run.

The actor needs no AliExpress account, no cookies and no browser. It reads the same public data a logged-out visitor sees.

### Who uses it

- **Dropshippers and resellers** who look for products with many orders and good ratings, and check the shipping fee and delivery time to their market.
- **Price trackers** who watch a list of products or a search on a schedule and want an alert when a price drops or rises.
- **Market researchers** who compare categories, prices and sales volume across countries and currencies.
- **AI pipelines and agents** that need clean, flat JSON rows.

### Inputs

- **Search keywords**: for example `wireless earbuds`. Each keyword returns up to **Maximum products per input**.
- **Search, category or product URLs**: `/w/wholesale-...` search pages, `/category/123/name.html` category pages, `/item/1005....html` product pages.
- **Product IDs**: for example `1005009569678787`.
- **Add full details to search results**: off by default. When on, each search result also gets store, shipping and variant data.
- **Ship-to country**, **Currency**, **Language**: for example `SA`, `SAR`, `en_US`.
- **Sort**: best match, most orders, price low to high, price high to low.
- **Only new products and price changes**: see "Price tracking" below.

Empty input runs a small demo search (20 products for "wireless earbuds") in a few seconds.

### What you get

Every row has a `type` field.

- `product`: one product. `source` says `search` (from a keyword or category) or `product` (from a product URL or ID).
- `status`: one row for each input that returned nothing: bad link, product gone, or AliExpress refused the request. Status rows are free.

Search rows have: productId, title, url, price, originalPrice, discountPercent, currency, priceText, isNewUserPrice, rating, soldCount, soldText, imageUrl, images, categoryId, badges (for example "Free shipping"), isAd, listedAt.

Detail rows add: storeName, storeId, sellerId, storeUrl, storeRating, storePositivePercent, storeOpenedYears, storeCountry, shipFrom, shipTo, shippingFee, shippingCurrency, deliveryDaysMin, deliveryDaysMax, shippingMethod, ratingCount, categoryPath, skuCount, variantOptions (for example "Color: 4; Size: 3"), variantPriceMin, variantPriceMax, totalStock, inStock, and `variants` (skuId, attributes, price, originalPrice, stock, available).

Fields AliExpress does not show for a product are `null`.

`isNewUserPrice: true` means AliExpress showed a first-order "welcome deal" price. Regular buyers pay more. Keep this in mind when you compare prices.

### Price tracking

Turn on **Only new products and price changes** and give the list a **Tracking list name**. The first run returns every product and saves its price. Each later run returns only:

- `changeType: "new"`: a product not seen before,
- `price_down` or `price_up`: with `previousPrice`, `priceChange` and `priceChangePercent`.

First-order "welcome deal" prices do not count as price changes. The saved history is kept per tracking list name, ship-to country and currency, in the key-value store `aliexpress-products-state`.

### How to schedule

1. Save your input as a task (for example "earbuds Saudi Arabia").
2. Turn on price tracking.
3. Add a schedule, for example daily at 06:00.
4. Connect a webhook, email or Google Sheets integration to the task to receive the changed rows.

### Pricing

Pay per result. Platform usage is included in the price.

- Product from a search or category page: **$1.50 per 1,000** (`product` event).
- Product with full details (store, shipping, variants): **$3.50 per 1,000** (`product-details` event).
- Status rows are free. A product AliExpress refuses or no longer sells is not charged. If details are refused for a search result, you get the search row at the search price.

### Reliability and limits

- Runs end as succeeded. Each input that fails gets a free status row, and `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store lists every input with its status, plus requests, bytes and proxy use.
- Search pages are fast: one request returns up to 60 products.
- Product details are slower, about 6 to 9 seconds each. AliExpress allows only a few product reads per IP address and then shows a captcha. The actor does not solve captchas. It pauses, switches to a new proxy address (no proxy, then Apify datacenter, then residential) and skips the product if every try is refused. In our tests 87% to 97% of products returned full details.
- Share links (`a.aliexpress.com/_...`) and affiliate links are not read. Open the link and paste the product URL.
- Prices are what AliExpress shows to a logged-out visitor in that country. Coupons that need an account are not included.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchKeywords` (type: `array`):

Words to search on AliExpress, one per line, for example wireless earbuds. Each keyword returns up to Maximum products per input.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

AliExpress addresses: search result pages (/w/wholesale-...), category pages (/category/123/name.html) or product pages (/item/1005....html).

## `productIds` (type: `array`):

Bare AliExpress product IDs, one per line, for example 1005009569678787. Product IDs and product URLs always return full details.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each search result's product data to add store name and rating, shipping fee and delivery days, and SKU variants. Slower, billed at the details price. Off: search results come from the result page only.

## `shipTo` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code. Prices, availability and shipping are shown for this country, for example US, SA, AE, DE.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter currency code for all prices, for example USD, SAR, AED, EUR.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of titles and labels, as AliExpress names it, for example en_US, ar_MA, fr_FR, de_DE.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order of search and category results.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products for each keyword or URL. A search page holds up to 60 products.

## `onlyChanged` (type: `boolean`):

Compare with the previous run and return only products that are new or whose price moved. Each row gets changeType, previousPrice and priceChange. The first run returns everything as the baseline.

## `stateName` (type: `string`):

Names the saved price history. Use one name per watchlist so separate schedules do not overwrite each other.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave empty for automatic: no proxy first, then Apify datacenter, then residential only if AliExpress refuses. Set your own proxy here to use only that.

## `autoProxyFallback` (type: `boolean`):

Move to a proxy when AliExpress refuses requests.

## `allowResidentialFallback` (type: `boolean`):

Allow the last proxy step. Product details usually need it after the first few products.

## `requestDelayMs` (type: `integer`):

Pause between requests. Raise it if the run summary shows many captcha answers.

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):

Retries with backoff and a fresh proxy session after a refusal.
