## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## GetYourGuide Reviews Scraper

Collect structured traveler reviews from **GetYourGuide** activity pages (tours, attractions, tickets). Pass one or more product URLs — the Actor resolves the activity ID, paginates the reviews feed, and writes clean Dataset rows ready for sentiment analysis, competitor monitoring, or content enrichment.

### Features

- **Product URLs or activity IDs** — batch via `product_urls` / `startUrls`
- **Paginated feed** — `page` + `page_size`, plus a global `resultsWanted` cap
- **Sort** — by review date or rating (`ASC` / `DESC`)
- **Rich fields** — rating, title, body, author name & country, language, traveler type, photos, supplier replies when present
- **Product aggregates** — overall star rating and total review count on each row

### Input

| Field | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `product_url` | string | — | Single GetYourGuide activity URL (`…-t{id}`) |
| `product_urls` | array | — | Batch of activity URLs |
| `startUrls` | array | — | Alias for URLs / `{ "url" }` / numeric IDs |
| `page_size` | integer | `50` | Reviews per page (1–100) |
| `page` | integer | `1` | 1-based start page (skips earlier reviews) |
| `resultsWanted` | integer | `page_size` | Max reviews for the whole run |
| `sortBy` | string | `date_of_review` | `date_of_review` or `rating` |
| `direction` | string | `DESC` | `DESC` or `ASC` |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | — | Residential proxies recommended for production |

#### Example — first page of reviews

```json
{
  "product_url": "https://www.getyourguide.com/san-diego-l263/the-uss-midway-museum-t12879/",
  "page_size": 20,
  "page": 1,
  "resultsWanted": 20
}
```

#### Example — batch

```json
{
  "product_urls": [
    "https://www.getyourguide.com/san-diego-l263/the-uss-midway-museum-t12879/",
    "https://www.getyourguide.com/rome-l33/colosseum-roman-forum-palatine-hill-guided-tour-t195566/"
  ],
  "resultsWanted": 40,
  "sortBy": "date_of_review",
  "direction": "DESC"
}
```

### Output

One Dataset item per review:

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `id` / `review_id` | Review identifier |
| `product_id` / `product_url` | Activity ID and source URL |
| `rating` | Star rating (1–5) |
| `title` / `content` | Review title and body |
| `author_name` / `author_country` | Traveler display name and country |
| `review_date` | ISO publication timestamp |
| `photos` | Photo URLs (largest available size) |
| `owner_response` / `owner_response_author` / `owner_response_date` | Supplier reply when present |
| `language` / `traveler_type` | Locale and traveler segment |
| `overall_star_rating` / `overall_review_count` | Activity aggregates |
| `scrapedAt` | Scrape timestamp |

### Tips

- Start with one URL and a small `resultsWanted` (e.g. 10–20) to validate the run.
- Use **RESIDENTIAL** proxies for production Apify runs.
- Activity ID is the number after `-t` in the product path (e.g. `t12879` → `12879`).

# Actor input Schema

## `product_url` (type: `string`):

Single GetYourGuide activity URL (path contains -t{id}). Either this, product_urls, or startUrls is required.

## `product_urls` (type: `array`):

Batch list of GetYourGuide activity URLs. Use instead of (or with) product_url.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Alternative to product_urls. Accepts URL strings or { "url": "..." } objects. Numeric activity IDs are also accepted.

## `page_size` (type: `integer`):

Reviews requested per API page (1–100). Also used with page to compute the starting offset.

## `page` (type: `integer`):

1-based start page. Skips (page - 1) × page_size reviews before collecting.

## `resultsWanted` (type: `integer`):

Cap on reviews saved for the whole run. Alias: results_wanted / maxReviews. Defaults to page_size when omitted.

## `results_wanted` (type: `integer`):

Same as resultsWanted.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Review sort field sent to the reviews feed.

## `direction` (type: `string`):

ASC or DESC.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxies recommended for production.

  "direction": "DESC"
}
```
# Actor output Schema
## `overview` (type: `string`):
Table view of reviews.
## `rawResults` (type: `string`):
