- EU Safety Gate alerts matched against a product list or a Google Merchant
  feed.
- Three match kinds kept distinct — barcode (certain), brand and model
  (probable), brand and name overlap (possible) — with `minConfidence` leaving
  the choice to the customer rather than picking a threshold for them.
- A brand on its own is never a match.
- Barcodes recovered from the batch field as well as the barcode field, since
  the dedicated field is empty on most alerts while the batch text carries the
  EANs inline.
- The window is filtered server-side, so a four-week run does not download
  thirty thousand historical alerts to discard them.
- Every match carries the Commission's own alert URL.
- Products with neither GTIN nor brand are counted as unmatchable rather than
  as clear.
- A feed that stops answering partway through is reported as a shortfall, not
  presented as the whole alert set.
- Charged per product checked, never per match found.
