## Pricing

from $0.40 / 1,000 scanned pages

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## AMP Checker — validate AMP markup & amphtml links

Check a page's **AMP** setup: whether it is an AMP page (`<html ⚡/amp>`), the linked **`amphtml`** URL
if it points to an AMP version, the **required AMP markup** (amp-boilerplate, amp runtime script,
charset, viewport), and any **validation issues**. Single URL or bulk. **$0.0005 per page.** Failed
fetches are recorded free.

### What you get

- **`isAmp`** — is this page itself AMP.
- **`ampUrl`** — the `rel="amphtml"` URL if the page links to an AMP version.
- **`hasRequiredMarkup`** and **`issues`** — the specific AMP requirements met/missing.
- **Fail-soft**: an unreachable URL returns `{ok:false, error}` and is **never charged**.

### Input

```json
{ "url": "https://amp.dev/", "urls": ["https://example.com"], "maxUrls": 25 }
```

### Output (real run, 2026-08-07)

```json
{
  "ok": true, "url": "https://amp.dev/",
  "isAmp": true, "ampUrl": null, "hasRequiredMarkup": false,
  "issues": ["Missing amp-boilerplate style", "Disallowed <img> tag (use <amp-img>)"],
  "httpStatus": 200
}
```

### Pricing — $0.0005 per page

Priced at the floor. No directly comparable AMP-validation actor was found on the Apify Store on
2026-08-07 (the nearest listings are broad SEO/OSINT bundles), so there is no competitor price to quote.

### Limits (honest ones)

- Validates the served HTML against the core AMP requirements; it is not the full official AMP validator and does not execute AMP components.
- AMP adoption is declining industry-wide — this actor is for auditing existing AMP pages and amphtml links, not a recommendation to adopt AMP.
- `maxUrls` capped per run.

### FAQ

- **Does it find my AMP version?** Yes — it reports the `rel="amphtml"` URL when a canonical page links to one.
- **Is this the official AMP validator?** No — it checks the core required markup and flags issues; use amp.dev's validator for full conformance.
- **Does it work on non-AMP pages?** Yes — it returns `isAmp:false` and lists what would be required.
- **What about a dead URL?** You get an `{ok:false, error}` record, uncharged.

### Use from code or AI agents

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/EliAI~webpage-amp-checker/runs?token=YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' -d '{"url":"https://amp.dev/"}'
```

Callable as an agent tool through the Apify MCP server (`mcp.apify.com`).
