## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## BidWisely Procurement Matcher

**Automatically discover and match procurement opportunities to your SME.**

BidWisely solves a critical problem for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria: finding procurement opportunities that fit their capacity, industry, and location, then evaluating eligibility quickly.

### The Problem

Nigerian SMEs lose time manually scrolling through procurement portals (budget.gov.ng, state tenders, etc.) looking for relevant opportunities. Most don't match their:

- Industry (wrong category of goods/services)
- Location (opportunities in other regions)
- Contract capacity (too large or too small)

**Result:** Missed bids, wasted effort, fewer growth opportunities.

### The Solution

BidWisely crawls public procurement listing pages, uses AI to intelligently extract opportunity details from unstructured procurement notices, and matches each one against your SME's profile with a transparent score and explanation.

#### What It Does

1. **Discovers:** Crawls public Nigerian procurement sources (budget.gov.ng, state portals, tender boards)
2. **Extracts:** Uses your chosen LLM (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, Cohere) to intelligently parse unstructured procurement notices into structured data (title, buyer, category, location, deadline, contract value, requirements)
3. **Matches:** Compares each opportunity against your SME profile (industry, location, capacity) with a rule-based scoring system
4. **Explains:** Shows the match score and the basis for the decision (industry match? location match? capacity check?)

#### Pay-Per-Event Monetization

BidWisely uses **Pay-Per-Event (PPE)** pricing. You only pay for:

- **Opportunity Discovered:** $0.02 — per procurement page successfully crawled
- **AI Extraction:** $0.03 — per opportunity parsed with your LLM

No monthly fees, no subscriptions—you pay only for what you use. *Your own LLM API key means you control extraction costs.*

### How to Use

#### Prerequisites

- LLM API key (Gemini free at https://ai.google.dev/, or OpenAI/Claude/Cohere)
- One or more public procurement listing URLs

#### Inputs

```json
{
  "sourceUrls": [
    "https://budget.gov.ng/portal/tenders"
  ],
  "smeProfile": {
    "industry": "Catering",
    "location": "Lagos",
    "capacity": 50000000,
    "certifications": ["SIRS"]
  },
  "llmApiKey": "your-api-key",
  "llmProvider": "gemini"
}
```

#### Output

A dataset of matched opportunities, each with:

```json
{
  "title": "Catering Services for FIRS Annual Conference",
  "buyer": "Federal Inland Revenue Service",
  "category": "Catering",
  "location": "Lagos",
  "deadline": "2026-10-15",
  "contractValue": 12000000,
  "requirements": ["SIRS certified", "Experience with government events"],
  "sourceUrl": "https://budget.gov.ng/...",
  "match": {
    "score": 100,
    "basis": "Industry, Location, and Contract Capacity",
    "checks": {
      "industryMatch": true,
      "locationMatch": true,
      "capacityMatch": true
    }
  },
  "crawledAt": "2026-09-25T...",
  "extractedAt": "2026-09-25T..."
}
```

### Use Cases

- **SME owners:** Monitor opportunities relevant to your business daily
- **Procurement consultants:** Scout opportunities for your portfolio of clients
- **Development organizations:** Identify opportunities for the SMEs you support

### How It Works (Agent Pattern)

Given an unstructured procurement notice and an SME profile, the Actor:

1. **Perceives:** Crawls and reads procurement pages autonomously
2. **Reasons:** Uses your LLM to extract structured data and evaluate eligibility criteria
3. **Explains:** Produces transparent match scores with rule-based justification

This agentic approach means the Actor adapts to varied procurement formats without hardcoded selectors.

### Pricing Transparency

- **Per run cost example:**
  - Crawl 1 listing page (LISTING label)
  - Extract 5 opportunities (5 × $0.02 = $0.10 discovered)
  - Parse 5 with LLM (5 × $0.03 = $0.15 extraction)
  - **Total: ~$0.25 per run** (plus Apify platform fee)

Users set `ACTOR_MAX_TOTAL_CHARGE_USD` to cap spending.

### Future Enhancements

- Multi-source crawling (combine budget.gov.ng + state portals + private tender boards)
- Dashboard for browsing matched opportunities
- Email/SMS alerts for high-scoring matches
- Integration with SME profile databases
- Support for additional LLM providers
- Historical tracking of opportunities
