## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Google Keyword Suggestions Scraper

Extract keyword ideas from Google Autocomplete. Enter seed keywords and get hundreds of real search suggestions that people actually type into Google — perfect for SEO keyword research, content planning, PPC campaign expansion, and niche discovery.

***

### What It Does

This actor queries Google's public autocomplete API and returns the suggestions Google shows as you type. For each seed keyword you provide, it can:

1. Fetch the top 10 autocomplete suggestions (base mode)
2. Expand with a–z suffixes to discover 260+ long-tail variations (alphabet mode)
3. Expand with 0–9 suffixes for number-based queries (numbers mode)
4. Combine both for maximum coverage (full mode — up to 370 suggestions per seed)

Suggestions are deduplicated automatically.

***

### Input Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `keywords` | string (textarea) | — | One seed keyword per line |
| `language` | string | `en` | Google interface language (en, de, fr, es, etc.) |
| `country` | string | `us` | Country for localized suggestions (us, gb, de, in, etc.) |
| `expand_mode` | enum | `none` | `none`, `alphabet` (a-z), `numbers` (0-9), `full` (both) |
| `max_suggestions` | integer | `0` | Limit per seed (0 = unlimited) |

#### Example Input

```json
{
  "keywords": "best python framework\nhow to learn javascript\nai tools for",
  "language": "en",
  "country": "us",
  "expand_mode": "alphabet",
  "max_suggestions": 0
}
```

***

### Output Format

Each row in the dataset represents one suggestion:

```json
{
  "seed_keyword": "best python framework",
  "query_variant": "best python framework a",
  "suggestion": "best python framework api",
  "language": "en",
  "country": "us"
}
```

### Use Cases

#### SEO Keyword Research

Enter your target topics as seeds, use alphabet expansion, and get hundreds of long-tail keywords that real users search for. Export to CSV for your SEO workflow.

#### Content Planning

Discover what questions and topics people search for around your niche. Use the suggestions to plan blog posts, videos, and social media content that matches real search demand.

#### PPC Campaign Expansion

Find new keyword variations for Google Ads campaigns. Alphabet expansion reveals long-tail terms with lower competition and higher intent.

#### Competitor Analysis

Enter competitor brand names and product names to see what people search for about them — reviews, alternatives, comparisons, and complaints.

#### Market Research

Test product ideas by checking what autocomplete suggests. High-specificity suggestions indicate real market demand.

#### Multilingual Research

Use language and country parameters to discover keyword opportunities in international markets.
