## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Scraper (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday)

Export **every open job from company career sites** in one clean, consistent format. Paste career page links (or just company names) and get title, location, remote flag, salary, department, posting date, apply link and the full description for each job.

It reads the **public job-board feeds** that Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday publish for every career site. There's no login and no proxies, and it's fast: hundreds of jobs per company in seconds.

### Why this one?

- **Four ATS platforms, one format.** The same fields for every job, whatever system the employer uses.
- **Salary included where possible.** Taken from the ATS when it provides it, and otherwise read from pay-transparency ranges in the description (e.g. "$120,000 – $150,000", "196,000 USD - 310,500 USD").
- **Doesn't fail on one bad link.** If one career site is down or the link is wrong, the run keeps going and the `SUMMARY` record tells you which input had a problem and why.
- **Find boards by company name.** Don't know a company's careers URL? Type the name, and the Actor looks for its Greenhouse, Ashby or Lever board.
- **Filters built in:** title keywords, excluded words, locations, remote only, and posted in the last N days.
- **No duplicates.** Each job appears once per run.

### What can you do with it?

- **Job boards and newsletters:** keep a niche board (remote, climate, AI, a city) filled with fresh jobs from hundreds of companies.
- **Recruiting and sales intelligence:** see who's hiring for which roles. Hiring is a buying signal.
- **Market and salary research:** compare pay ranges, locations and remote policies across companies.
- **Job seekers and career tools:** watch target companies and get new roles every day with a scheduled run.
- **AI and data projects:** structured job data with clean plain-text descriptions.

### Input

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Career site URLs | `https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb`, `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` |
| Company names | `Figma`, `Notion` |
| Job title contains any of | `engineer`, `designer` |
| Job title must not contain | `intern` |
| Location contains any of | `London`, `United States`, `CA` (whole-word match, so `CA` won't match "Canada") |
| Remote jobs only | on/off |
| Posted within the last N days | `7` |

### Output

```json
{
  "source": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "jobId": "34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (Canada)", "Remote (US)", "Miami, FL"],
  "remote": true,
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salaryText": "$211.4K – $290.6K • Offers Equity",
  "salaryMin": 211400,
  "salaryMax": 290600,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryInterval": "1 YEAR",
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/34413f8d-26bf-4bbc-8ade-eb309a0e2245/application",
  "descriptionText": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams…",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-15T04:59:43.852Z"
}
```

Download as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read it through the Apify API. Turn on **Also include description HTML** if you need the original formatting.

### How much does it cost?

You pay a small fee per job saved, and nothing for jobs your filters skip. Workday sites take one extra request per job when descriptions are on, so turn **Include job description** off for the fastest runs.

### Notes

- `remote` is `true` or `false` when the platform says so, `true` when the location mentions "Remote", and `null` otherwise.
- Workday shows relative posting dates ("Posted 3 Days Ago"), so `postedAt` is accurate to the day there.
- Only publicly listed jobs are exported. The Actor never logs in or applies to anything.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSiteUrls` (type: `array`):

Job board links, e.g. https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite

## `companyNames` (type: `array`):

Don't know the URL? Enter company names and the Actor will look for their Greenhouse, Ashby or Lever board. Workday boards need the URL.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words, e.g. engineer, sales, designer. Leave empty for all jobs.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep only jobs whose location mentions one of these, e.g. London, United States, Berlin.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote by the employer (or with "Remote" in the location).

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Skip older postings. Leave empty for all.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

On Workday this adds one extra request per job, so runs are slower.

## `includeHtml` (type: `boolean`):

Add the original description HTML in a descriptionHtml field.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total.

## Actor input object example

```json
  "careerSiteUrls": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp"
  ],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "includeHtml": false,
  "maxItems": 1000
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `overview` (type: `string`):

One row per open job: company, title, location, remote flag, salary, posted date and link.

## `allFields` (type: `string`):

Every job with all fields, including the full description.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Jobs found per company and any boards that could not be read.
