## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Websites Using Technology X: Lead Lists by Shopify App, CMS or Tool

Find websites that use a specific technology and get a clean lead list. Pick any technology a site-profiling database knows, such as **Klaviyo, Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, HubSpot, Intercom or Google Tag Manager**, and get the websites that run it.

Typical uses:

- Sell a Shopify app, theme or service to stores that already use a related tool
- Find stores or sites that use a competitor's product
- Build a prospect list for an agency by platform, country and size
- Research how widely a technology is used

No scraping on your side, no proxies and no blocks. You pay only for the websites returned.

### Input

| Field | What to put |
|---|---|
| **Technologies** | Up to 10, one per line, named as in BuiltWith or Wappalyzer. Each is searched on its own; a site that matches several appears once |
| **Websites per technology** | How many to return per technology. This is also your cost cap |
| **Country / Language** | Optional two-letter codes, e.g. `US`, `en` |
| **Minimum / maximum domain rank** | Optional popularity score. Raise the minimum to skip tiny or abandoned sites; lower the maximum to find small shops |
| **Sort order** | Best match first, or biggest sites first |
| **Only with email / contact** | Skip sites without a known email address or phone number |
| **Include technologies by category** | Adds the full technology tree to each row |

### Output

One row per website:

| domain | title | technology | country | domainRank | emails | phones | lastSeen |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| kensuifitness.com | Kensui Fitness | Premium Workout Equipment | Klaviyo | US | 301 | hello@... | +1 ... | 2026-02-10 |

Each row also has `url`, `description`, `language`, `socialProfiles` and `technologies` (every technology found on the site). Download as CSV, Excel or JSON, or send it to Google Sheets with an integration.

- **Contact details are a bonus, not a promise.** Emails and phone numbers are listed only when the site shows them publicly, which is a minority of sites. With the contact switches on, the run reads up to three times as many sites to find them and you still pay only for sites returned. If you need emails for every site, run the result through a contact extractor.
- **Data is a snapshot.** `lastSeen` is when the site was last checked; technologies may have changed since.
- Bare IP addresses are removed.
- A technology name that is not recognised gives a plain error and no charge. Use the exact product name.

### Pricing

You pay per website saved (see the Pricing tab). Technologies with no match cost nothing. Set the *maximum cost per run* to cap spending.

### Notes

Public website data only. Use contact details lawfully (GDPR, CAN-SPAM and similar rules apply to how you contact people).

# Actor input Schema

## `technologies` (type: `array`):

Technology names, one per line, as BuiltWith or Wappalyzer name them, e.g. Shopify, Klaviyo, WooCommerce, Stripe, HubSpot. Each one is searched on its own (up to 10); a website that matches several appears once.

## `maxLeadsPerTechnology` (type: `integer`):

How many websites to return for each technology. You pay per website returned, so this is also your cost cap per technology.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code of the website, e.g. US, GB, DE, AU. Leave empty for all countries.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code of the website, e.g. en, de, fr. Leave empty for all languages.

## `minDomainRank` (type: `integer`):

Only websites with a domain rank above this number (the provider's 0-1000 popularity score; higher means a bigger site). Use it to skip tiny or abandoned sites.

## `maxDomainRank` (type: `integer`):

Only websites with a domain rank below this number. Use it to find small shops that are not yet served by big vendors.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Best match first (default) or biggest websites first (highest domain rank).

## `onlyWithContact` (type: `boolean`):

Skip websites where no email address or phone number is known. Only a minority of websites have contact details, so the run reads up to three times as many sites to find them; you pay only for websites returned.

## `onlyWithEmail` (type: `boolean`):

Skip websites where no email address is known. Same limits as the option above.

## `includeTechnologyDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full technology tree (analytics, marketing, servers, payments and so on) to every row. Every row already has a flat list of all technologies found on the site.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "technologies": [
    "Klaviyo"
  ],
  "maxLeadsPerTechnology": 100,
  "sortBy": "relevance",
  "onlyWithContact": false,
  "onlyWithEmail": false,
  "includeTechnologyDetails": false
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `websites` (type: `string`):

One row per website: domain, title, description, country, rank, contact details and every technology found.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

How many websites were saved per technology, how many are available in total, and whether the run stopped at your cost limit.

import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';

// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});

// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "technologies": [
        "Klaviyo"
    ]
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("ensorcelling_melilot/tech-leads").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
