## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Facebook Pages Scraper for Lead Generation

Find Facebook business pages by keyword and get back each page with its public contact
details: phone, email, website, address, and category. No page URLs needed. Give it a keyword
like `plumber` or `roofing contractor` and it returns a clean, structured list of local
business leads you can export as JSON, CSV, or Excel.

### What you get

Every result row in the dataset has these fields:

| Field | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `name` | The page name. |
| `category` | The page category (for example "Plumber"). |
| `likes` | Number of people who like the page. |
| `talking_about` | Number of people talking about the page. |
| `were_here` | Number of people who have visited or checked in. |
| `phones` | List of public phone numbers found on the page. |
| `emails` | List of public email addresses found on the page. |
| `website` | The page's linked website. |
| `address` | The page's public address. |
| `about` | The page's description (name and counts line removed). |
| `page_created_date` | The date the page was created, when available. |
| `url` | Link to the Facebook page. |
| `rank` | This page's position in the search results for your keyword. |
| `is_new` | Whether this page is new to your dataset or was seen in an earlier run. |

### Input

| Field | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `keyword` | Yes | The keyword to search Facebook Pages for. |
| `maxResults` | No | Upper limit on how many Pages to return. Leave empty for the default. |

Example input:

```json
{
  "keyword": "plumber",
  "maxResults": 20
}
```

### How to use

Enter a keyword, set an optional limit on how many pages to return, and click **Start**. The
results appear in the run's dataset as it finishes, and you can export them to JSON, CSV, or
Excel from the dataset view, or fetch them through the API.
