## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper ⭐ One Format, Both Stores

**Get app reviews from the Apple App Store and Google Play in a single run and a single format**: rating, title, text, date, app version, helpful votes and developer replies.

Mix iOS and Android apps in the same input, scrape many countries and languages at once, filter by stars and date, or schedule it to get **only new reviews** every day.

### Why use it?

- 📱 **App developers and product teams**: track what users say after every release, on both platforms, in one table
- 🚨 **Support and QA**: get 1-2 star reviews as soon as they appear, straight to Slack or email
- 🕵️ **Competitor research**: see what users love and hate in competing apps, country by country
- 📊 **Agencies and ASO**: weekly review reports for all your clients' apps
- 🤖 **AI and sentiment analysis**: clean text ready for LLMs, topic clustering or dashboards

### Features

- 🍎🤖 **Both stores, one schema**: the same fields for App Store and Google Play reviews
- 🔗 Paste **store URLs or IDs**: `https://apps.apple.com/.../id324684580`, `id324684580`, `https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music` or `com.spotify.music`
- 🌍 **Many countries** (App Store) and **many languages** (Google Play) in one run
- ⭐ **Star filter**: e.g. only 1 and 2 stars
- 📅 **Date filter**: last N days or from a given date
- 💬 **Developer replies** (Google Play)
- 🔔 **Monitoring mode**: returns only reviews not seen in previous runs. Empty runs cost almost nothing

### Input examples

The latest reviews of an app on both stores:

```json
{
    "apps": [
        "https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music-and-podcasts/id324684580",
        "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music"
    ],
    "countries": ["us"],
    "languages": ["en"],
    "maxReviewsPerApp": 500
}
```

Daily alert of new negative reviews in the US, UK and Germany (schedule it once a day):

```json
{
    "apps": ["id324684580", "com.spotify.music"],
    "countries": ["us", "gb", "de"],
    "languages": ["en", "de"],
    "ratings": ["1", "2"],
    "onlyNew": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
    "store": "Google Play",
    "appId": "com.spotify.music",
    "appName": "Spotify: Music and Podcasts",
    "country": null,
    "language": "en",
    "id": "d7add28c-6f9e-4731-9b90-3f9572493bc7",
    "rating": 1,
    "title": null,
    "text": "too many ads tbh",
    "userName": "Naruto Uzumaki",
    "date": "2026-10-21T16:19:57Z",
    "appVersion": "9.1.92.3058",
    "thumbsUp": 0,
    "developerReply": {
        "text": "Hi. Thanks for sharing this. We hear you and we'll pass your feedback along to the Ads team...",
        "date": "2026-10-21T21:05:12Z"
    },
    "reviewUrl": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en&gl=us&reviewId=d7add28c-6f9e-4731-9b90-3f9572493bc7",
    "scrapedAt": "2026-10-22T16:30:00Z"
}
```

App Store reviews have the same fields, plus a `title` and a `country`.

### Pricing

**$0.15 per 1,000 reviews** ($0.00015 per review). Proxy costs are included, and there is no extra charge per app, per country or per query.

Set a **maximum charge per run** and the Actor stops saving once it is reached.

### Good to know

- **App Store**: Apple publishes the **500 most recent** (or most helpful) reviews per app and country. Reviews are separate for each country's store, so add more countries to get more reviews. Developer replies are not included in Apple's public feed.
- **Google Play**: reviews are grouped by **language**, not by country, so the Actor queries Google Play once per language. This avoids paying twice for the same reviews.
- With **monitoring mode**, schedule runs at least daily for popular apps, so no review is pushed beyond the App Store's 500-review window between runs.

### Feedback

Missing a field or a store? Open an issue on the Actor page: requests from users get priority, and bugs are usually fixed within 24-48 hours.

# Actor input Schema

## `apps` (type: `array`):

App Store or Google Play URLs, or IDs: 'id389801252' / '389801252' for the App Store, 'com.spotify.music' for Google Play. Mix both stores freely.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter country codes for the App Store, e.g. 'us', 'gb', 'de', 'it', 'jp'. Each App Store has its own reviews per country.

## `languages` (type: `array`):

Google Play groups reviews by language, not country: list the languages you want, e.g. 'en', 'de', 'it', 'es', 'fr', 'ja'.

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

0 = as many as available. The App Store publishes at most 500 recent reviews per country.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

Order reviews are collected in.

## `ratings` (type: `array`):

Keep only reviews with these ratings, e.g. 1 and 2 stars for complaints. Leave empty for all.

## `lookbackDays` (type: `integer`):

Only reviews from the last N days. 0 = no date limit.

## `reviewsFrom` (type: `string`):

Only reviews on or after this date (overrides Last N days).

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Remember reviews returned by previous runs and return only new ones. Schedule it daily to get new reviews into Slack, email, Google Sheets or a webhook.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many apps are scraped at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Requests rotate to a new IP when a store throttles one.
