## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Austria Public Tenders & Contract Awards Scraper (BVergG Open Data)

> 🇩🇪 Aktuelle öffentliche Ausschreibungen und Zuschläge in Österreich (Kerndaten gem. BVergG 2018) mit CPV, Auftragswert, Auftraggeber und Fristen – offene Daten, CC BY 4.0.

Get the **latest Austrian public procurement notices** – contract notices (tenders), prior information and **contract awards** – from the official **core data (Kerndaten) feeds** that Austrian contracting authorities must publish under the Federal Procurement Act (BVergG 2018) via data.gv.at. Data is in the EU **eForms** standard; this Actor turns it into clean JSON.

Each notice includes: notice type, title, description, **CPV codes**, buyer (public authority), estimated or **awarded value**, **submission deadline**, award date, place of performance (NUTS), number of tenders received and a link to the official XML.

### Who is it for?

- **Companies & bid managers** – find new tenders in your CPV field (e.g. `72` IT services, `45` construction) every morning.
- **Market & sales intelligence** – see which authorities buy what, and at which contract values.
- **Compliance, journalists, researchers** – public spending transparency in Austria.
- **AI agents & RAG pipelines** – structured procurement data with official source links.

### Use with AI agents (MCP)

Add this Actor as a tool in any MCP client via the Apify MCP server:
`https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=esint/austria-public-tenders`
Then ask e.g. "Which IT contracts were awarded by Austrian public authorities this week?"

### Quick start

Run with the default input – it returns the newest notices within seconds. Schedule daily with `daysBack: 1` and a `cpvPrefix` for a tender alert (Apify integrations: e-mail, Slack, webhooks, Google Sheets).

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `sources` | KDQ feed URLs (defaults: Bundesbeschaffung BBG – the most active feed – plus USP/Wiener Zeitung kerndaten.at and eVergabe.at). Any other KDQ URL from data.gv.at works too. |
| `daysBack` | only notices changed in the last N days (default 14) |
| `keyword` | text filter on title/description |
| `cpvPrefix` | e.g. `72`, `45`, `3020` |
| `maxItems` | cap (default 30) |

### Output example

```json
{"noticeType":"ContractAwardNotice","title":"Produktionsdrucksysteme Konica Minolta","buyer":"WK Sbg IT","cpvMain":"30000000","awardedValue":193364.49,"currency":"EUR","awardDate":"2026-10-15+02:00","placeOfPerformance":"AT323","tendersReceived":1,"lastModified":"2026-10-16T10:31:18","url":"https://opendata.bbg.gv.at/kerndaten/….xml","source":"Kerndaten gem. BVergG 2018 via data.gv.at (CC BY 4.0)"}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$2.00 per 1,000 notices**.

### Data, license & attribution

Source: core data sources (Kerndatenquellen) published under § 3 Kerndaten-Verordnung (BGBl. II Nr. 57/2019) and listed on **data.gv.at**, licensed **CC BY 4.0** (e.g. data.gv.at datasets of Bundesbeschaffung GmbH, Wiener Zeitung GmbH, ANKÖ). Attribution: "Datenquelle: Kerndaten gem. BVergG 2018, data.gv.at, CC BY 4.0 – jeweiliger Auftraggeber/Plattform". **No personal data:** contact persons, e-mails, phone numbers and bidder/winner names are deliberately not exported. No warranty; the official notices are authoritative. Not affiliated with any procurement platform or authority.
