## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Italian Trade Fair Exhibitors Scraper

Export the **exhibitor lists of Italian trade fairs** from their official online catalogs: **TUTTOFOOD Milano, Cibus Tec, Cibus, EICMA, Mercanteinfiera, Salone del Camper** and more. You get one clean row per exhibitor with the **company email, phone, website, social profiles, full address, hall and stand, product categories, brands and certifications**.

**$3 per 1,000 exhibitors.** You pay only for the rows you get. No subscription, no setup.

### What can you use it for?

- **Book meetings before the fair.** Get the list of exhibitors in your sector, with hall and stand, and email them before the doors open.
- **Find Italian suppliers.** Importers, distributors and retail buyers use TUTTOFOOD and Cibus to find Italian food producers. Filter by country, category or certification (ORGANIC, IFS, BRC, KOSHER …).
- **Sell to exhibitors.** Stand builders, logistics, packaging, translators, hostesses, printers and software vendors can reach every company that pays for a stand.
- **Map a market.** Who makes what in Italian food processing (Cibus Tec), motorcycles and parts (EICMA), motorhomes (Salone del Camper) or antiques (Mercanteinfiera), with technologies and application sectors.
- **Track competitors.** See who exhibits each year, in which hall, and which brands they show.

### Example output

One row per exhibitor (real result from TUTTOFOOD 2026, shortened):

### Supported fairs

Pick them from the **Trade fairs** list:

| Fair | Sector | City | Exhibitors |
|---|---|---|---|
| TUTTOFOOD 2026 | Food & beverage | Milan | ~3,000 |
| Cibus Tec 2026 | Food processing & packaging technology | Parma | ~1,300 |
| EICMA 2026 | Motorcycles, two-wheelers, parts & gear | Milan | ~760 (2,100 with brands) |
| Mercanteinfiera Autumn / Spring 2026 | Antiques, vintage & design | Parma | ~900 |
| Salone del Camper 2026 | Motorhomes, caravans & outdoor | Parma | ~340 |
| BBQ Expo & Butcher Show 2026 | Barbecue and meat industry | Parma | ~300 |
| Labotec 2026 | Laboratory technology | Parma | ~270 |
| Cibus Tec Forum 2025 | Food technology | Parma | ~200 |
| Automotoretrò 2026 | Classic cars & motorcycles | Parma | ~150 |
| GreenItaly 2026, Carp Parma 2026 | Garden & green industry, carp fishing | Parma | smaller |
| Cibus 2024 (last edition) | Italian food | Parma | ~2,000 |

**Other and past editions.** Every fair in the Fiere di Parma online catalog works, including past editions still online (TUTTOFOOD 2025, Cibus 2021 and 2018, Cibus Tec 2023 and 2019, older Mercanteinfiera and Salone del Camper editions …). Put its ID or catalog URL in **Other fairs**, for example `tuttofood-2025` or `https://catalogo.fiereparma.it/manifestazione/cibus-2021/`.

### How to use it

1. Choose one or more fairs in **Trade fairs**.
2. Optionally, set **Max exhibitors per fair** (0 = all) and **Only exhibitors from these countries** (ISO codes like `IT`, `DE`, `ES` or names like `Germany`).
3. Click **Start**. Download the results as Excel, CSV or JSON, or get them through the API.

### Input

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `fairs` | — | Fairs from the list above |
| `otherFairs` | — | Fair IDs or catalog URLs not in the list (past editions too) |
| `maxExhibitorsPerFair` | 0 (all) | Stop each fair after this many rows. Useful for a cheap first test |
| `countries` | all | Keep only exhibitors from these countries. Excluded exhibitors are never downloaded or charged |
| `includeBrandsAndRepresented` | `false` | EICMA only: also return brands and represented companies shown at another exhibitor's stand (`entryType` = `brand` / `represented-company`) |
| `includeDescription` | `true` | Include the company presentation text |
| `language` | `en` | Catalog language for categories and descriptions: `en` or `it` |
| `maxRequestsPerMinute` | 60 | The catalogs block visitors that go too fast. Keep 60 unless you use Apify Proxy |
| `proxyConfiguration` | off | Turn on Apify Proxy if a catalog stops responding |

### Output fields

`fair`, `fairId`, `exhibitorName`, `entryType`, `representedBy`, `hall`, `stand`, `positions`, `country`, `countryCode`, `address`, `street`, `postalCode`, `city`, `province`, `phone`, `email`, `emailType`, `website`, `linkedin`, `facebook`, `instagram`, `x`, `youtube`, `tiktok`, `categories`, `technologies`, `applicationSectors`, `brands`, `representedCompanies`, `certifications`, `productionFeatures`, `description`, `catalogUrl`, `catalogSource`, `catalogId`, `scrapedAt`.

The dataset has three ready-made views: **Overview**, **Contacts** and **Products & brands**.

**What each catalog publishes**

| | Fiere di Parma catalog (TUTTOFOOD, Cibus, Cibus Tec, Mercanteinfiera …) | EICMA catalog |
|---|---|---|
| Email, phone | ✅ | ❌ not published by the catalog |
| Website, address, country | ✅ | ✅ |
| Hall and stand | ✅ | ✅ |
| Categories, brands, description | ✅ | ✅ |
| Social profiles, certifications | ✅ | ❌ |
| Co-exhibitors / represented companies | ✅ | ✅ |

**Need emails for EICMA exhibitors?** Send the `website` column to [EU Company Contacts & VAT Extractor](https://apify.com/eurodata-tools/eu-company-contacts). It reads each company's own website and returns its company emails, phones and VAT ID.

### Pricing

**$3 per 1,000 exhibitors** (`exhibitor` event, $0.003 per row). You pay only for rows returned. Exhibitors removed by the country filter are free.

Examples: the whole of TUTTOFOOD (~3,000 exhibitors) costs about **$9**. The 50 exhibitors of a quick test cost **$0.15**.

Set **Max cost per run** in the run options and the Actor stops exactly there: you never pay more than that.

### How long does it take?

The Actor opens one catalog page per exhibitor at a polite pace (60 per minute by default), so **1,000 exhibitors take about 17 minutes** and all of TUTTOFOOD about 50 minutes. With the country filter only the matching exhibitors are opened, so the run is much faster.

### Good to know

- **Personal emails.** Most exhibitors publish a company mailbox (info@, sales@, export@ …). A few publish the email of a named person. Each row has `emailType` (`generic` or `personal`) so you can keep only company mailboxes.
- **A catalog stops responding?** The fair websites limit how many pages one IP address can open. If that happens the Actor stops asking that catalog, finishes the others and says so in the run status. Run it again later, or turn on Apify Proxy.
- **Data freshness.** The data is read live from the official catalogs at run time. Organizers update the lists until the fair opens.
- **Legal.** The Actor reads only public catalog pages that the organizers publish so that visitors can find and contact exhibitors. It does not log in and respects robots.txt. You are responsible for how you use the data, for example under GDPR and anti-spam rules when you contact people.
- **Independent tool.** This Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fiere di Parma, Fiera Milano, EICMA or the fair organizers. Fair names are used only to describe which public catalogs are supported.

### FAQ

**Which fair should I start with?** Run it with **Max exhibitors per fair** = 50 to see the data for $0.15, then run the whole fair.

**Can I get only Italian exhibitors, or only German ones?** Yes. Put `IT` or `DE` in **Only exhibitors from these countries**.

**A fair is missing.** If it is in the Fiere di Parma online catalog, paste its catalog URL in **Other fairs**. For other fairs, open an issue on the Actor page with the catalog link: new Italian catalogs are added on request.

# Actor input Schema

## `fairs` (type: `array`):

Pick one or more fairs. You get one row per exhibitor, with the fair name in every row.

## `otherFairs` (type: `array`):

Any other edition from the Fiere di Parma catalog, as ID (`cibus-2021`, `salone-del-camper-2024`) or URL (`https://catalogo.fiereparma.it/manifestazione/cibus-2021/`). The README lists all available editions.

## `maxExhibitorsPerFair` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many exhibitors for each fair. 0 = all exhibitors.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

ISO codes or English/Italian country names, e.g. `IT`, `DE`, `Germany`, `Spagna`. Leave empty for all countries. Exhibitors filtered out are not charged.

## `includeBrandsAndRepresented` (type: `boolean`):

EICMA also lists brands and companies that appear at the stand of another exhibitor. They come with name, hall, stand, country and the exhibitor that represents them, but no contacts.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

The presentation text the exhibitor wrote for the catalog.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language of product categories, certifications and hall/stand labels. Company descriptions stay in the language the exhibitor wrote them in.

## `maxRequestsPerMinute` (type: `integer`):

How many catalog pages are opened per minute. The fair catalogs block IP addresses that go too fast, so keep the default (60) unless you use Apify Proxy. At 60 per minute, 1,000 exhibitors take about 17 minutes.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed in normal use. Turn on Apify Proxy only if the fair websites start blocking requests.
