## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bulk URL Status & Redirect Checker (Free): Broken Links, SEO

**Free bulk URL checker: get the HTTP status code, the full redirect chain, the final URL, the response time and the main SEO tags of up to 100,000 URLs in one run.** Find broken links, 404 pages, redirect chains and loops, expired certificates and noindex pages, for example after a site migration. No Actor fee: you only pay the tiny Apify platform usage (7 URLs cost $0.00009 in our test).

- 🚦 **Status codes**: 200, 301, 302, 404, 410, 500… plus network errors (DNS not found, expired SSL certificate, timeout).
- 🔀 **Redirect chains**: every hop with its code (301, 302, 307, 308) and location, the number of redirects, the final URL, loops detected.
- ⏱️ **Response time** of each URL, redirects included.
- 🏷️ **SEO tags** of HTML pages: title, meta description, meta robots, canonical, first H1, language, X-Robots-Tag header.
- 📊 **Two views**: “Status” for broken links and redirects, “SEO tags” for on-page checks.
- ⚡ **Fast**: 10 URLs at a time by default (up to 50).

### 🚀 Example

```json
{
  "urls": [
    "http://apify.com",
    "https://www.example.com/this-page-does-not-exist",
    "https://httpbin.org/redirect/3"
  ]
}
```

### 📦 Output

Each row also contains `redirectChain` (every hop), `contentType`, `contentLength`, `server`, `title`, `metaDescription`, `canonical`, `metaRobots`, `h1` and `lang`.

### 💰 Price

**Free.** This Actor charges no fee. Apify bills only the platform usage of your run: thousands of URLs for a few cents. The Apify free plan includes monthly credit.

### ❓ FAQ

**How do I check all the pages of my website?** Export the URLs from your sitemap or CMS and paste them in. You can also schedule the Actor weekly to catch new broken links.

**Some sites answer 403 to the checker.** They block data centres: turn on Apify Proxy in the Proxy option.

**Does it follow JavaScript redirects?** No: it follows HTTP redirects (3xx with a Location header), which is what search engines rely on first.
