# Google Maps No-Website Leads Scraper: Local Business Leads (`euroscrape/google-maps-no-website-leads`) Actor

Google Maps businesses without website, double-checked: businesses with no website on Maps are tested against domains at their name, then matched to their registered company (France, UK). No website businesses and local business leads with phone, rating, lead score: web design leads, pay per lead.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Maps No-Website Leads Scraper: Verified + Company Match

**Find local businesses on Google Maps that have no website of their own, checked twice, and know which registered company is behind each one.** Type a trade and a city, get the businesses with no site (or only a Facebook, Instagram or booking-platform page) with phone, address, rating, number of reviews, a lead score from 0 to 100 and, in France and the UK, the company behind the listing: registration number, legal form, date of creation, activity and staff range. **You pay per lead, not per place read.**

![Google Maps businesses with no website, double-checked and matched to their registered company](https://api.apify.com/v2/key-value-stores/whPh2zNCcrRkrWi0g/records/demo-google-maps-no-website-leads.png?signature=k15NFXJNtq88iJ229DOS)

- 🔎 **Any trade, any city**: hair salons in Leeds, coiffeurs in Nantes, Friseure in Berlin, barber shops in Houston. Several trades and several locations in one run.
- ✅ **Double-checked**: "no website on Google Maps" is not "no website". The Actor tests the domain names a business would use (`zeplombier.fr`, `templarsplumbing.co.uk`) and sets aside those whose site shows their phone number or postcode.
- 🧩 **Social-only and platform-only businesses are leads too**: a salon whose only link is its Planity, Booksy, Fresha, Facebook or Instagram page has no site of its own. The status says which case it is.
- 🏢 **The company behind the listing** (France, UK): SIREN or Companies House number, legal form, registration date, activity, staff range. A bakery registered in 2003 with 172 reviews and no website is not the same lead as a shop opened last month.
- 📊 **Lead score with its reasons**, in plain words, so you can sort a call list in one click.
- 🏷️ **Unclaimed Google profiles flagged**: `profileClaimed: false` when nobody has claimed the listing (Google Maps shows "Claim this business"). Turn on `onlyUnclaimed` to keep only those: an owner who never set up their profile needs more than a website.
- 🔔 **Monitor mode**: schedule it weekly and receive only the businesses you have not seen before.

### ✨ Why this Actor

| | |
|---|---|
| 🎯 **Fewer false leads** | Lists built from the Maps "website" field alone contain businesses that do have a site and never added it to their listing. Each lead here was tested against domains at its name first. |
| 🧾 **Who you are talking to** | With the registered company you know the legal form, how long the business has existed and how many people it employs, before the first call. None of the Google Maps no-website Actors we compared gives it. |
| 💸 **Pay per lead** | Places that are read and set aside (they have a website, they are closed, they do not pass your filters) cost nothing. $3 per 1,000 leads. |
| ⚡ **Fast and light** | No browser: 110 to 120 places read and checked in 70 to 85 seconds. |
| 🔒 **Careful with personal data** | No owner or director names. For a sole trader, the registered name is a person's name: it is not returned. |

### 🎯 Use cases

- **Web designers and agencies**: a call list of established local businesses with no site, best prospects first.
- **Local SEO and Google Business Profile services**: businesses that rely on a social or booking page only, and listings their owner never claimed (`onlyUnclaimed`).
- **Website builders, booking and ordering tools**: target trades and cities where many businesses still have no site.
- **Market studies**: share of businesses without a website by trade and by city (the run summary gives it).
- **Recurring prospecting**: the monitor mode returns only new listings each week.

### 🚀 Examples

#### 1. Hair salons in Leeds without a website

```json
{
  "searches": ["hair salon"],
  "locations": ["Leeds, UK"],
  "maxLeads": 20
}
```

#### 2. Three trades in two French towns, established businesses only

```json
{
  "searches": ["plombier", "électricien", "boulangerie"],
  "locations": ["Lyon 3e", "Villeurbanne"],
  "countryCode": "fr",
  "minReviews": 5,
  "maxLeads": 80
}
```

Measured on 13 October 2026: 229 places read, 74 leads, 55 of them matched to their registered company, in 2 minutes 32.

#### 3. Well-rated small businesses only, no suppliers or chains

```json
{
  "searches": ["plumber"],
  "locations": ["Leeds"],
  "minRating": "4.5",
  "maxReviews": 60,
  "excludeKeywords": ["supplies", "merchant"],
  "maxLeads": 40
}
```

Measured on 22 October 2026: 17 leads without the filters, 12 with them; the plumbing merchants and the businesses with more than 60 reviews are gone, and every lead is rated 4.7 or more. Places set aside by a filter are not charged.

#### 3b. Only the businesses with strictly nothing online

```json
{
  "searches": ["barber shop", "taqueria"],
  "locations": ["Houston, TX"],
  "output": "strict",
  "onlyWithPhone": true
}
```

#### 4. Weekly feed of new businesses without a website

```json
{
  "searches": ["coiffeur", "institut de beauté"],
  "locations": ["Nantes", "Rezé", "Saint-Herblain"],
  "countryCode": "fr",
  "monitorName": "nantes-beauty"
}
```

Schedule it once a week: the first run delivers the current leads, the next ones only what is new.

#### 5. A whole large city, postcode area by postcode area

```json
{
  "searches": ["hair salon"],
  "locations": ["Leeds, UK"],
  "deepSearch": true,
  "maxSubAreas": 15,
  "maxLeads": 500
}
```

Measured on 14 October 2026: the Leeds search alone stops at 38 leads; with four postcode areas added (LS1, LS2, LS6, LS8) the same run had 144 different leads after 4 minutes. In Lyon, plumbers went from 20 to 66 leads with six areas.

#### 6. No website and an unclaimed Google profile

```json
{
  "searches": ["barber shop"],
  "locations": ["Bradford, UK"],
  "onlyUnclaimed": true,
  "maxLeads": 50
}
```

Measured on 20 October 2026: among the businesses without a website, 8 of 60 barber shops in Bradford and 4 of 49 hair salons in Nantes had never claimed their Google profile. In Houston, 1 plumber out of 82 places read. Claimed listings are skipped for free.

#### What to expect, trade by trade

Runs of 13 October 2026, default settings:

| Search | Places read | Leads | Share without a website |
|---|---|---|---|
| coiffeur, Nantes | 113 | 51 | 45% |
| Friseur, Berlin Neukölln | 52 | 23 | 44% |
| barber shop + taqueria, Houston | 118 | 39 | 33% |
| plombier + électricien + boulangerie, Lyon 3e and Villeurbanne (5 reviews or more) | 229 | 74 | 32% |
| hair salon + cafe + car repair, Leeds | 161 | 34 | 21% |
| plumber, Leeds | 60 | 5 | 8% |
| roofing contractor, Austin | 100 | 0 | 0% |

Google Maps does not return exactly the same places from one run to the next, so these figures move a little. Trades matter more than cities: hairdressers, bakeries, small restaurants and garages often have no site; roofers in a large US city all have one. The run summary gives the share for your own search.

#### Website status

| `websiteStatus` | Meaning | Lead? |
|---|---|---|
| `no_website_found` | No link on the listing, no active domain at the business name | ✅ |
| `social_only` | The only link is a social page (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok…) | ✅ |
| `platform_only` | The only link is a page on a platform (Planity, Booksy, Fresha, Treatwell, Linktree, a directory, a delivery site…) | ✅ |
| `domain_registered` | A domain at the business name is registered, with no site on it (parked page, nothing) | ✅ |
| `website_unsure` | A page with the business name in its title, mentioning its city, answers at a domain of its name | set aside |
| `website_found` | A site at the business name shows its phone number or postcode: Maps just does not link to it | set aside |
| `website_on_maps` | The listing links to a real website | set aside |

With `output: "all"` every place is saved with its status, and the places that have a website are charged as cheaper "place" rows.

#### Views

**Leads** (score, phone, rating, status), **Company behind each lead**, **Call list** (phone, address and the reasons behind the score) and **Website check**. The **run summary** (key-value store, `RUN_SUMMARY`) counts the places read, those with a website, those set aside by the double-check, the leads by status and the share without a website.

### 💰 Pricing

### ❓ FAQ

**How do you know a business has no website?** Three steps. First the link on its Google Maps listing: none, a social page, a platform page, or a real site. Then, when there is no real site, the Actor builds the domain names the business would use from its name (up to 9, with the extensions of its country) and checks which ones exist. Last, it reads what answers on those domains: if the page shows the phone number or the postcode of the business, the business has a site and is set aside. A page that belongs to someone else with a similar name (very common for short names) does not remove the lead.

**Can a lead still have a website?** Yes, when the site is published under a name that has nothing to do with the business name and is not linked from its listing. The double-check removes the frequent case (a site at the business name), not every case. `domainsChecked` tells how many names were tested.

**How does the company match work, and how reliable is it?** France: the name of the listing is searched in the official register (INSEE / INPI, open data) at the postcode of the listing, then in its département. A match needs the distinctive words of the name on both sides: trade words and place names do not count, and property companies and holdings are never matched. `companyMatchConfidence` says how strong it is: `high` (whole name, same postcode), `medium` (whole name, same département, or a one-word name), `low` (part of the name: check the activity). On our runs of 13 October 2026, three quarters of the leads in Lyon and half of those in Nantes were matched; reading the matches one by one, about one in fifteen pointed to a different business with a similar name, almost always flagged `medium` or `low`: look at `companyActivity` before relying on a match. UK: Companies House is searched by name at the postcode of the listing, so only businesses whose registered office is at the shop are matched (6 of 34 in Leeds); many small UK businesses are registered at their accountant's. Other countries: the company fields are empty.

**Why is the company name empty for some matched leads?** The business is a sole trader. Its registered name is the name of a person, so it is not returned: you get the registration number, the legal form, the date of creation and the activity.

**What does `profileClaimed` mean?** Whether the owner has claimed the Google Business Profile of the listing. `false`: nobody has, and Google Maps shows "Claim this business" on it; such a lead gets 10 more points in its score. `null`: Google did not say. With `onlyUnclaimed`, claimed listings are skipped and not charged.

**Does it return owner names, emails or personal data?** No owner or director names, and no emails: businesses without a website rarely publish one. The fields come from the public Google Maps listing of the business (name, category, phone, address as the business published them) and from official company registers.

**How many places can one search return?** Google Maps shows about 100 to 120 places per search. To cover a large city, turn on **Go deeper in large cities**: when a location hits that ceiling, the same search runs again in each postcode area found among the results (LS6, LS11… in Leeds; 69003, 69007… in Lyon), duplicates removed, and each row says in `subArea` which area found it. You can also list districts or neighbouring towns yourself as separate locations.

**Will I pay for businesses from another city?** No. Google Maps sometimes slips in a business from far away (a roofer in Marseille when you search Toulouse). When a search is about one city, places whose address is far from it are skipped and not charged, and the run summary counts them in `outsideArea`. Region-wide searches (Brittany, Yorkshire) are left as they are, and so are businesses that show no address. Set `keepOutsideArea` to keep everything.

**Will I pay for places that are not businesses?** No. A search for electricians can bring up a power substation, and other searches a bus stop or a car park: they never have a website, so they would look like leads. They are skipped and not charged, and the run summary counts them in `notABusiness`.

**Which countries are supported?** Google Maps worldwide. The domain double-check knows the usual extensions of France, the UK, the US, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Portugal, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and tests `.com` elsewhere. The company match covers France and the UK.

**How is this different from your No-Website Leads Actor?** [No-Website Leads](https://apify.com/euroscrape/no-website-leads) reads the official registers: companies registered in the last days, before Google Maps lists them, with no phone number. This one reads Google Maps: businesses that are open, reviewed and reachable by phone. One finds new companies, the other established ones.

**Can I use these leads for prospecting?** You remain responsible for the rules that apply to your outreach: in the UK the Corporate Telephone Preference Service and PECR, in France the rules on B2B prospecting, in the US the TCPA and Do Not Call rules for calls and texts and CAN-SPAM for emails. Many small businesses are run by one person: contact them as you would like to be contacted.

**Is this an official Google product?** No. It is an independent tool that reads public Google Maps results, and it is not affiliated with Google. Company data: INSEE / INPI through recherche-entreprises.api.gouv.fr (Licence Ouverte 2.0) and Companies House (Open Government Licence v3.0).

# Actor input Schema

## `searches` (type: `array`):

What you would type in Google Maps: a trade or a kind of shop (plumber, hair salon, restaurant, garage, dentist…). One search per line. Write it in the language of the country for more results ("plombier" in France, "Friseur" in Germany).

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Cities, districts or postcodes. Each business type is searched in each location. Google Maps shows about 100 to 120 places per search: for a large city, add its districts or neighbouring towns as separate lines to go deeper.

## `maxLeads` (type: `integer`):

The run stops when this many leads are saved. You pay per lead saved, never for the places that were read and set aside.

## `maxPlacesPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

How many Google Maps places to read for each business type in each location (20 per page). Reading is free: only the leads are charged.

## `deepSearch` (type: `boolean`):

Google Maps stops at about 100 to 120 places per search. With this on, when a location hits that ceiling, the same search is run again in each postcode area found among the results (LS6, LS11… in Leeds; 69003, 69007… in Lyon), and duplicates are removed. More places are read (reading is free), so a large city gives many more leads.

## `maxSubAreas` (type: `integer`):

With "Go deeper", at most this many postcode areas are searched for each business type in each location, the most common first.

## `keepOutsideArea` (type: `boolean`):

Google Maps sometimes slips in a business from another city (a roofer in Marseille when you search Toulouse). By default, places whose address is far from the searched city are skipped and not charged (counted as outsideArea in the run summary). Region-wide searches (Brittany, Yorkshire) and businesses without a public address are never skipped. Turn this on to keep everything Google returns.

## `output` (type: `string`):

The website status of every saved row is in the field websiteStatus.

## `verifyDomains` (type: `boolean`):

Many businesses have a site but never added it to their Maps listing. With this on, domains made from the business name are tested, and a business whose site shows its phone number or postcode is set aside (free). Turn off for the raw Google Maps answer.

## `matchCompany` (type: `boolean`):

France: SIREN number, legal form, registration date, activity code and staff range from the official register (INSEE / INPI). UK: Companies House number when the registered office is at the shop's postcode. No director names. Other countries: left empty.

## `minReviews` (type: `integer`):

Keep only businesses with at least this many reviews (an active business with customers). 0 keeps all.

## `maxReviews` (type: `integer`):

Skip businesses with more reviews than this: well-known places usually already have a web agency. Leave empty for no limit.

## `minRating` (type: `string`):

Keep only businesses rated at least this, e.g. "4" or "4.5" (happy customers, a business worth a good website). Places without any rating are skipped when this is set.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Words that drop a place when they appear in its name or Google categories, e.g. "franchise", "ATM", "warehouse". Case and accents are ignored.

## `onlyWithPhone` (type: `boolean`):

Skip listings without a phone number.

## `onlyUnclaimed` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only businesses whose Google Business Profile has not been claimed by its owner (Google Maps shows "Claim this business"). These owners have never set up their listing: a second thing to offer them besides a website. Skipped places are free.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code (en, fr, de, es, it…).

## `countryCode` (type: `string`):

Optional two-letter country code (fr, gb, us, de…): tells Google where to look when a city name exists in several countries. Not needed when the location already names the country.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Name this search and schedule the Actor weekly: each run then returns only businesses that were not delivered before (newly opened shops, new listings). A run with nothing new costs the run start only.
