## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Autocomplete Keyword Tool (Free): YouTube, Amazon, Bing

**Free keyword research tool: get the autocomplete suggestions of Google, YouTube, Amazon, Bing and DuckDuckGo for any keyword, country and language, expanded A–Z, with questions and prepositions.** No Actor fee: you only pay the small Apify platform usage of your run.

One seed keyword, five sources, questions on: **2,336 unique keyword ideas** in a real run of 14 October 2026 (“electric bike”, United States).

- 🔤 **A–Z expansion**: “electric bike a”, “electric bike b”… up to “electric bike 9”: the long-tail keywords people actually type.
- ❓ **Questions**: how, what, why, best… (in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch): ready-made FAQ and blog post ideas.
- 🔁 **Prepositions and comparisons**: for, with, vs, near, price, review…
- 🌳 **Depth 1 or 2**: every suggestion is expanded again, for thousands of long-tail keywords from one seed.
- 🛒 **Five sources**: Google (SEO), YouTube (video topics), Amazon (product searches, 15 marketplaces), Bing and DuckDuckGo.
- 🌍 **Any country and language**: the suggestions people see in that country.
- 🧹 **Clean output**: duplicates removed per source, with the seed, what was typed, the position in the list and the number of words.

### 🚀 Examples

**Long-tail keywords for a blog (Google, questions included):**

```json
{
  "keywords": ["electric bike", "e-scooter"],
  "sources": ["google"],
  "questions": true,
  "country": "US",
  "language": "en"
}
```

**Amazon product keywords in Germany, two levels deep:**

```json
{
  "keywords": ["e bike"],
  "sources": ["amazon"],
  "country": "DE",
  "language": "de",
  "depth": 1
}
```

**YouTube video ideas:**

```json
{
  "keywords": ["home workout"],
  "sources": ["youtube"],
  "questions": true
}
```

### 📦 Output

One row per unique suggestion and source:

```json
{
  "keyword": "how much electric bike cost",
  "seed": "electric bike",
  "typed": "how electric bike",
  "source": "google",
  "modifier": "question:how",
  "position": 8,
  "level": 0,
  "words": 5,
  "country": "US",
  "language": "en"
}
```

What the five sources returned for “electric bike” in that run: Bing 689, Google 479, YouTube 438, Amazon 372, DuckDuckGo 358 unique suggestions. Each source sees different searches: Amazon suggests “electric bike dual motor dual battery”, YouTube “electric bike drag race”.

### 💰 Price

**Free.** This Actor charges no fee. Apify bills only the platform usage of your run, usually less than a cent per seed keyword. The Apify free plan includes monthly credit.

### ❓ FAQ

**Are these search volumes?** No: autocomplete shows what people search, ranked by popularity, but without numbers. To see whether a keyword is growing, run it through our free [Google Trends Scraper](https://apify.com/euroscrape/google-trends-free).

**Why are some suggestions missing compared to my browser?** Autocomplete is personalised by location and history. The Actor reads the non-personalised suggestions for the country and language you choose.

**How many keywords can I get?** Roughly 400–700 per seed and source with A–Z on; depth 1 multiplies that. Use “Maximum suggestions” to cap a run.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes: save a Task and schedule it weekly to catch new suggestions, then send the results to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier or n8n.

**Is it affiliated with Google, Amazon or Microsoft?** No. It reads the public autocomplete of each site, like a browser does.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

One keyword per line (up to 500). Each one is expanded into dozens of suggestions.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Which autocomplete to read. Each source adds its own suggestions (YouTube for video topics, Amazon for product searches).

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code (US, GB, FR, DE, ES, IT, CA, AU, IN…). For Amazon: the marketplace of that country.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code (en, fr, de, es, it, pt, nl…). Also sets the question words and prepositions.

## `alphabet` (type: `boolean`):

Type the keyword followed by each letter and digit (“electric bike a”, “electric bike b”…): about 36 times more suggestions.

## `questions` (type: `boolean`):

Add question words before the keyword (how, what, why, best…): ideas for FAQ and blog posts.

## `prepositions` (type: `boolean`):

Add words after the keyword (for, with, vs, near, price, review…).

## `depth` (type: `integer`):

0 = suggestions of the seed only. 1 = also expand every suggestion found (many more long-tail keywords). 2 = one more level.

## `maxSuggestions` (type: `integer`):

The run stops after this many unique suggestions.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy spreads requests over several IPs. Without proxy, very large runs may be slowed down by the sources.
