## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## OTTO.de Scraper – Products, Prices & Reviews

Scrape otto.de search results, product pages and product reviews: price, list price, availability, delivery time, brand, rating and images. Germany's second-largest online shop.

### What does it do?

| Mode | What you get | Input | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| `search` | Search by keyword | `keywords` | $0.90 / 1,000 results |
| `product` | Product details by URL | `urls` | $1.40 / 1,000 lookups |
| `reviews` | Product reviews (product ids) | `ids` | $0.90 / 1,000 results |

### Use cases

- Monitor your products' prices and availability on otto.de
- Compare assortments and prices across German marketplaces
- Collect product reviews for quality and feedback analysis

### How to use it

1. Pick a **mode** and enter your search terms, URLs or IDs (one run can take many).
2. Set **Max pages** for searches and lists, and optional filters in **More API parameters**.
3. Start the run and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or get them through the Apify API.
4. Schedule the Actor for daily monitoring, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n or Google Sheets.

### Input example

```json
{
  "mode": "search",
  "keywords": [
    "kaffeemaschine"
  ]
}
```

### Output example

One result (shortened):

```json
{
  "productDescription": "De'Longhi Kaffeevollautomat Start Milk ECAM220.80.SB, Milchkaraffe inklusive, Perfekter Cappuccino, Für cremigen Barista-Milchschaum – auch für pflanzliche A...",
  "manufacturer": "De'Longhi",
  "productId": "C1851049439",
  "variationId": "1851049454",
  "countReview": 718,
  "imgUrl": "https://i.otto.de/i/otto/a3894d04-d2d6-575c-ab07-b42e4578b81d?$responsive_ft2$",
  "deliveryMessage": "lieferbar - am nächsten Werktag bei dir"
}
```

Every row also carries `mode`, `input` and `page`, so you can tell which search or URL it came from.

### Pricing

Pay per result, no monthly fee:

- **$0.90 per 1,000 results** from searches and lists
- **$1.40 per 1,000 lookups** of a single product, listing or page

Not found and failed lookups are free. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options and the Actor stops there.

### More API parameters

Pass them in `extraParams` (JSON):

- **search**: none
- **product**: none
- **reviews**: none

### FAQ

**Do I need proxies or an account?** No. Blocking, retries and proxies are handled for you.

**How fresh is the data?** It is fetched live when the Actor runs.

**Is it legal?** The Actor only reads publicly visible pages. You are responsible for how you use the data,
including the site's terms and data protection law such as the GDPR.

**Something is missing or broken?** Open an issue on the Issues tab or write to support@everydata.io.

### Prefer a REST API?

The same data is available as a plain JSON API at [everydata.io](https://everydata.io), with a free plan.
