## Pricing

$2.00 / 1,000 domain checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Domain Intelligence: WHOIS/RDAP, DNS, Email, SSL & Website Check

Paste a list of **domains, URLs or email addresses** and get one clean record per domain covering:

| Check | What you get |
|---|---|
| **Registration** (RDAP, the official successor of WHOIS) | registrar, created / updated / expiry dates, days until expiry, domain age, status, nameservers, DNSSEC, and whether the domain is registered at all |
| **DNS** | A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT and CNAME records |
| **Email setup** | email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Proofpoint…), SPF record, DMARC record and policy |
| **SSL certificate** | issuer, valid/invalid, valid from/to, days until expiry, covered hostnames |
| **Website** | up/down, HTTP status, redirect chain, final URL, HTTPS redirect, HSTS, server header, page title |

All checks for one flat price per domain.

### Use cases

- **Lead enrichment and qualification:** which email provider and website does each prospect use, and is the site even up?
- **Domain portfolio monitoring:** get warned before domains or SSL certificates expire (schedule weekly)
- **Security and deliverability audits:** find domains without DMARC or SPF, and expired or invalid certificates
- **Domain research:** domain age, registrar, and whether a name is available
- **Data cleaning:** turn messy URLs and emails into clean domains with live status

### Example output

```json
{
  "domain": "stripe.com",
  "isRegistered": true,
  "registrar": "SafeNames Ltd.",
  "createdAt": "1995-09-12T04:00:00Z",
  "expiresAt": "2027-09-11T04:00:00Z",
  "daysUntilExpiry": 352,
  "domainAgeYears": 31,
  "emailProvider": "Google Workspace",
  "dmarcPolicy": "reject",
  "sslIssuer": "DigiCert Inc",
  "sslValid": true,
  "sslDaysUntilExpiry": 50,
  "websiteUp": true,
  "httpStatus": 200,
  "finalUrl": "https://stripe.com/",
  "pageTitle": "Stripe | Financial Infrastructure..."
}
```

### Notes

- **Privacy:** only the registrar is returned, never personal registrant contact details.
- A few country domains (for example `.de`) do not publish RDAP registration data. Those records say so, and all other checks still run.
- Data comes directly from official sources: registry RDAP servers (via the IANA bootstrap), public DNS, TLS handshakes and the website itself.

### Pricing

Pay per domain checked. Duplicates and invalid inputs are removed for free.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Domains, website URLs or email addresses (the domain is extracted automatically). Duplicates are removed.

## `checks` (type: `array`):

Which checks to run. All are included in the per-domain price.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many domains to check at the same time.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "stripe.com",
    "https://www.bbc.co.uk/news",
    "hello@notion.so"
  ],
    "email",
    "ssl",
    "http"
  ],
  "concurrency": 10
}
```

# Actor output Schema

One record per domain.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Counts and skipped inputs.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "domains": [
        "stripe.com",
        "https://www.bbc.co.uk/news",
        "hello@notion.so"
    ]
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("evolve-data/domain-intel").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
