## Pricing

Pay per event

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SEC 8-K Event Feed

Get every new SEC **8-K** (and 6-K) filing as clean JSON: company, **tickers**, CIK, the 8-K **item codes decoded into plain English** ("Earnings / results of operations", "Material agreement entered", "Director or officer change", "Unregistered equity sale (possible dilution)", "Delisting notice"...), a **high-impact flag**, links, and optionally the **press-release text** (EX-99 exhibit).

Built for traders, analysts, IR/PR monitoring, deal and lead sourcing, and AI agents that need "what material event just happened at which listed company".

### Why this one

- **Decoded items + high-impact flag**: filter straight to earnings, M\&A, dilution, delisting, restatements or exec changes.
- **Ticker-ready**: tickers come with every filing; `onlyListed` drops funds and private filers.
- **Press-release text** attached when you want it, no second scraper needed.
- **Schedule it** (every 5-15 min, `daysBack: 0`) for a near-real-time event feed into Slack, Sheets, a webhook or your model.
- Official SEC EDGAR data only, polite to SEC's fair-access rules. No login, no proxies.

### Input examples

Today's listed-company earnings releases with text:

```json
{"daysBack": 0, "items": ["2.02"], "onlyListed": true, "includePressRelease": true}
```

Every possible-dilution filing (item 3.02) in the last 30 days:

```json
{"daysBack": 30, "items": ["3.02"], "onlyListed": true, "maxResults": 1000}
```

Watchlist: anything material from these tickers this week:

```json
{"daysBack": 7, "tickers": ["TSLA", "NVDA", "PLTR"], "onlyHighImpact": true}
```

### Output (one row per filing)

```
### Pricing
Pay per result: **$0.002 per filing**, **+$0.003 per press release** (only when `includePressRelease` is on and one is attached). 1,000 filings = $2.
Data is public SEC EDGAR information; not investment advice.
