## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## FINN.no Scraper — Norway Torget, Cars, Jobs & Property

Scrape **finn.no**, Norway's biggest classifieds site: Torget (second-hand marketplace), used cars, motorbikes, jobs, homes for sale and for rent, new developments and cabins. Search by section, keyword, price range and seller type, or paste any FINN search URL. No login, no API key, no browser: plain fast HTTP.

### What you get

- Title, price (NOK), location, coordinates, publication time, images, seller type and business name, flags (private, retailer, shipping, buy now...).
- **Cars and motorbikes**: make, model, variant, year, mileage, fuel, transmission (licence plate only for dealers).
- **Jobs**: job title, employer, application deadline, number of positions, work locations.
- **Property**: property type, ownership type, living area, plot size, bedrooms, local area, total price, monthly costs, viewing times, features.
- **Add-on "ad details"**: opens every ad for the full description text (and construction year for property).
- Searches that match more than ~2,500 ads are split by price range automatically (where the section supports price filters); duplicates are removed.

### Privacy

Private sellers and private landlords are people. For ads flagged as private the Actor never outputs seller names, licence plates or street addresses (only the locality), coordinates are rounded to about 1 km, and phone numbers / e-mail addresses in free text are masked. Businesses (retailers, dealers, brokers, employers) keep their name.

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `vertical` | `torget`, `cars`, `motorbikes`, `jobs`, `jobs-parttime`, `jobs-management`, `homes`, `lettings`, `newbuildings`, `cabins`. |
| `searchQueries` | Keywords, one search each (e.g. `sykkel`, `tesla`, `sykepleier`). Empty = newest ads of the section. |
| `startUrls` | Any finn.no search URL (Torget, cars, motorbikes, jobs, real estate). Its filters are kept. |
| `priceFrom`, `priceTo` | NOK. |
| `sellerType` | `all`, `private`, `business`. |
| `sortBy` | `newest`, `relevance`, `price_asc`, `price_desc`. |
| `extraParams` | Advanced: raw website filters, e.g. `location=0.20061`. |
| `includeDetails` | Add-on, see above. |
| `maxItems` | Total limit (default 50). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify Proxy (default). Falls back to Norwegian residential IPs automatically if blocked. |

Example: used Teslas from dealers

```json
{
  "vertical": "cars",
  "searchQueries": ["tesla"],
  "sellerType": "business",
  "priceFrom": 150000,
  "maxItems": 300
}
```

| Ad details add-on (`listing-details`) | US$0.50 per 1,000, only with `includeDetails` |

### FAQ

**Is it legal?** The Actor reads public pages that anyone can open without logging in and removes personal data of private sellers. You are responsible for how you use the data (site terms, GDPR).

**How many ads per search?** FINN shows at most 50 pages (~2,500 ads) per search. For Torget, cars, motorbikes, homes, lettings and cabins the Actor splits by price range to go deeper; jobs and new developments need several keyword searches.

**Why are some fields empty?** Car, job and property fields only exist in their section; all keys are always present (null when not applicable).

### Use cases

Second-hand price monitoring, used-car and motorbike market data, Norwegian job market analysis, property and rental market research, dealer inventory tracking, lead lists of businesses.

### En español

No entrega nombres, matrículas ni calles de vendedores particulares y redondea sus coordenadas a ~1 km. Precio: US$1.00 por 1.000 anuncios (+ US$0.50 por 1.000 con descripción completa).

# Actor input Schema

## `vertical` (type: `string`):

Which part of FINN to search. Ignored for the URLs you paste in Start URLs.

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One search per keyword, e.g. sykkel, iphone, tesla, sykepleier. Leave empty to list the newest ads of the section.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Paste finn.no search result URLs (with all the filters you set on the website), e.g. https://www.finn.no/recommerce/forsale/search?q=sykkel or https://www.finn.no/realestate/homes/search.html?location=0.20061. Each URL is scraped in full, up to the max items.

## `priceFrom` (type: `integer`):

Only ads priced at least this much (not available for jobs and new developments).

## `priceTo` (type: `integer`):

Only ads priced at most this much.

## `sellerType` (type: `string`):

Private sellers or businesses (retailers, dealers, brokers, employers). Details of private sellers are never output.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Order of the results. Newest first returns the freshest ads.

## `extraParams` (type: `string`):

Advanced. Extra query parameters copied from a finn.no result URL, e.g. location=0.20061\&category=0.68. Pasting a full search URL in Start URLs is easier.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many ads in total (across all searches).

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open every ad to get the full description text (and construction year for property). Billed as a separate add-on event per ad and slower.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default. If datacenter IPs get blocked, the Actor switches to Norwegian residential IPs automatically.
