## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Jobs.ch & Jobup.ch Scraper - Swiss Jobs Data

Scrape job ads from **jobs.ch** and **jobup.ch**, Switzerland's main job boards (same group), and get clean structured data: title, company, place and coordinates, **employment type** (permanent, temporary, freelance, internship, apprenticeship), **workload range (e.g. 80-100%)**, position level, required languages, publication dates and, optionally, the **full ad text, postal code, canton, application link and end date**. No login, no cookies, no browser. Reads the same public JSON that the sites' own search uses, so it is fast: thousands of jobs per minute.

Pay only for the jobs you get: **from US$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** (+ US$0.50 per 1,000 for the full ad text).

### What you can do with it

- Track hiring in Switzerland by company, city, canton and employment type.
- Build a Swiss job aggregator, newsletter or alert service with fresh ads every day.
- Analyse demand for skills and languages (German, French, English, Italian) and part-time/full-time workloads.
- Generate B2B leads: companies (and staffing agencies) that are hiring right now.
- Monitor competitors' hiring.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `site` | `jobs.ch` (default) or `jobup.ch`. |
| `keywords` | Job titles, skills or companies. One search per keyword. Empty = all jobs. |
| `locations` | Cities, cantons or regions (Zürich, Genève, Basel...). Combined with keywords. |
| `employmentTypes` | `permanent`, `temporary`, `freelance`, `internship`, `side-job`, `apprenticeship`. |
| `positions` | `executive`, `manager`, `employee`. |
| `languages` | `de`, `fr`, `en`, `it` - ads that require these languages. |
| `workloadMin` / `workloadMax` | Employment percentage range. |
| `postedWithinDays` | Only ads first published in the last N days. |
| `categoryIds`, `industryIds`, `regionIds`, `companyIds` | Advanced numeric filters, using the ids returned in the results. |
| `sort` | `date` (newest first, default) or `relevance`. |
| `includeDetails` | Also fetch every ad: full text, postal code, canton, application link, end date. |
| `maxItems` | Maximum jobs to save (default 50). |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Apify Proxy (default). Falls back to residential IPs in Switzerland automatically if blocked. |

The site returns at most 2,000 results per search; the actor automatically splits larger searches into date windows, so you can pull tens of thousands of ads in one run.

Example:

```json
{
  "site": "jobs.ch",
  "keywords": ["data engineer"],
  "locations": ["Zürich", "Genève"],
  "employmentTypes": ["permanent"],
  "workloadMin": 80,
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "maxItems": 500,
  "includeDetails": true
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "id": "f8e56ce3-6955-45c9-8e99-41876f71b74d",
  "url": "https://www.jobs.ch/en/vacancies/detail/f8e56ce3-6955-45c9-8e99-41876f71b74d/",
  "title": "Data Engineer & BI-Spezialist (m/w)",
  "company": "HRS Real Estate AG",
  "companyType": "sme",
  "place": "Frauenfeld",
  "postalCode": "8500",
  "canton": "TG",
  "country": "CH",
  "employmentTypes": ["Permanent"],
  "position": "Employee",
  "workloadMin": 80,
  "workloadMax": 100,
  "languages": ["de:4", "en:3", "fr:1"],
  "publishedAt": "2026-10-13T15:12:43.000Z",
  "validThrough": "2026-11-13T23:59:59.000Z",
  "applicationUrl": "https://www.hrs.ch/de/karriere",
  "detailsFetched": true,
  "description": "..."
}
```

Fields marked "details only" (description, postal code, canton, application link, end date, skills, benefits) are filled when `includeDetails` is on. Language levels are the site's own 1-4 scale. When an advertiser is anonymous, `company` is `null`.

### Pricing (pay per event)

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| `job-result` - one job saved | US$1.00 per 1,000 |
| `job-details` - one job enriched with the full ad (optional) | US$0.50 per 1,000 |
| Actor start | US$0.00005 |

### FAQ

**Does it contain recruiter names, e-mails or phone numbers?** No. Contact persons are dropped and e-mails/phones are removed from the ad text. Only company and job data.

**Are salaries included?** The sites rarely publish salaries; when the ad text states one it is in `description` (with details on).

**Is it legal?** It reads publicly visible job ads. You are responsible for using the data in line with the sites' terms and Swiss/EU data-protection law.
