## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## TED EU Tenders Scraper — Public Procurement Notices

Search the official **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)** database of the European Union and get clean, structured procurement notices: open tenders, contract awards (with the winning companies), prior information notices and contract modifications from every EU member state and more.

It uses the public TED API, so there is no login, no API key and no scraping of web pages. Results are returned newest first.

### What you get

- **Tenders and awards**: contract notices, contract award notices, prior information notices, modifications.
- **Buyer**: name, country, city, legal type, main activity, website, identifier.
- **What is bought**: title (in your preferred language, or all languages), CPV codes, contract nature (works / services / supplies), procedure type, place of performance.
- **Money**: estimated value and awarded value, each with its currency.
- **Dates**: publication date, tender deadline (date and time), contract conclusion date.
- **Winners** (award notices): company name, country, size (SME / medium / large) and tax identifier.
- **Links**: TED notice page, PDF and XML.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `searchText` | Free-text search (title, description, buyer). |
| `cpvCodes` | CPV codes or prefixes. `72000000` matches all IT services (trailing zeros become a prefix). |
| `buyerCountries` | 2- or 3-letter country codes of the buyer (`ES`, `DEU`, ...). |
| `noticeTypes` | `contract-notice`, `contract-award`, `prior-information`, `modification`. Empty = all. |
| `publicationDateFrom` / `publicationDateTo` | `YYYY-MM-DD` range. |
| `minValue` / `maxValue` | Total value of the notice, in the notice currency (mostly EUR). |
| `titleLanguage` | Preferred language for title and buyer name (`en`, `de`, `fr`, `es`, ...). |
| `includeAllTitles` | Adds a `titles` object with every translation. |
| `maxItems` | Maximum notices to return (default 50). |

#### Example: open IT tenders in Spain and Germany

```json
{
  "searchText": "",
  "cpvCodes": ["72000000"],
  "buyerCountries": ["ES", "DE"],
  "noticeTypes": ["contract-notice"],
  "publicationDateFrom": "2026-09-01",
  "maxItems": 500
}
```

}
```
### Pricing
| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Notice scraped (`notice-result`) | **US$1.00 per 1,000 notices** |
You only pay for notices saved to the dataset. Set `maxItems` to cap the cost.
### Privacy
Only organisations are returned. When a winner name clearly looks like a natural person (for example a sole trader named after its owner), the name and identifier are replaced by `[natural person]`.
### FAQ
**Is it official data?** Yes, it comes straight from the TED public API (European Publications Office).
**How far back can I go?** TED holds notices from 2014 onwards in the searchable index.
**How many notices can I get?** The actor pages through the whole result set, so a single run can return hundreds of thousands of notices. Use date ranges to keep runs small.
**Why is a value empty?** Many notices (and almost all prior information notices) do not publish a value. The fields are `null` in that case.
### Use cases
Lead generation for suppliers (find buyers and winners in your CPV area), competitor and market monitoring, price benchmarking, procurement analytics and alerts.
# Actor input Schema
## `searchText` (type: `string`):
Free-text search over the notice (title, description, buyer). Leave empty to browse by the filters below.
## `cpvCodes` (type: `array`):
CPV codes or prefixes (for example 72000000 or 72). Trailing zeros are treated as a prefix, so 72000000 matches every IT services code.
## `buyerCountries` (type: `array`):
ISO country codes of the contracting authority, 2 or 3 letters (ES, DE, FRA, ...). Empty = all countries.
## `noticeTypes` (type: `array`):
Which notices to return. contract-notice = open tenders; contract-award = results with winners; prior-information = planned procurements; modification = contract modifications. Empty = all.
## `publicationDateFrom` (type: `string`):
YYYY-MM-DD. Empty = no lower bound.
## `publicationDateTo` (type: `string`):
YYYY-MM-DD. Empty = today.
## `minValue` (type: `integer`):
Minimum total value of the notice, in the notice currency (mostly EUR).
## `maxValue` (type: `integer`):
Maximum total value of the notice, in the notice currency (mostly EUR).
## `titleLanguage` (type: `string`):
ISO 639 code of the language used for title and buyer name when available (en, de, fr, es, ...). Falls back to the original language.
## `includeAllTitles` (type: `boolean`):
Adds the titles object with every available translation (bigger output).
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum number of notices to return (newest first).
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
The TED API is public; the default Apify proxy is only a safety net and automatically escalates to residential if blocked.
