## Pricing

from $50.00 / 1,000 answer checkeds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AI Answer Brand Monitor (Factline AI Visibility)

Your buyers ask AI assistants which product to choose. This actor asks **Gemini**, **Claude** and **ChatGPT** the same questions, several times each, and tells you how often your brand is named, in which position, which competitors are named instead and, where the engine searches the web, which websites it cites. Use it to track GEO / AEO (generative engine optimisation).

### Why repeat runs

AI answers change every time you ask. One check tells you very little. Set **Runs per prompt** (default 3) and the SUMMARY gives your **mention rate with a 95% interval** per engine, so you can see whether a change is real.

### What you get

- One dataset row per answer: prompt, engine, run, brand mentioned, position among tracked names, your domain cited, competitors mentioned, all names in order, the answer, sources (Claude and ChatGPT), model, time.
- A **SUMMARY** record in the key-value store: per engine the mention rate, its 95% interval, share of voice against your competitors, average position and competitor counts.

### Engines

- **Gemini**: the plain model answer (what the model itself recommends).
- **Claude**: with web search, so answers include cited sources.
- **ChatGPT**: with web search, on your own OpenAI key (used only for that run).

### Pricing

**$0.05 per answer** from Gemini or Claude. **$0.01 per answer** from ChatGPT with your own key. Failed calls are free. **Max answers per run** caps your spend. On the free Apify plan, Gemini and Claude give 2 answers per run as a trial; any paid Apify plan removes the limit.

### Also from Factline

The free monthly [DevTool AI Index](https://factline.dev/ai-index) uses the same method to show which developer tools AI assistants recommend.

# Actor input Schema

## `prompts` (type: `array`):

Questions your buyers ask AI, one per line.

## `brand` (type: `string`):

Name to look for in the answers, e.g. HubSpot.

## `brandAliases` (type: `array`):

Other spellings or product names that count as your brand.

## `brandDomain` (type: `string`):

To check if the AI cites your site, e.g. hubspot.com.

## `competitors` (type: `array`):

Competitor names to track, one per line.

## `engines` (type: `array`):

Gemini and Claude are included. ChatGPT and Perplexity need your own API key below.

## `answerLanguage` (type: `string`):

Optional, e.g. Dutch or German. Empty: the language of the prompt.

## `maxAnswers` (type: `integer`):

Spending brake: the run stops after this many answers (prompts x engines).

## `openaiApiKey` (type: `string`):

Optional. Your own key; used only for this run.

## `runs` (type: `integer`):

Ask each prompt this many times per engine (1 to 5). AI answers change from run to run, so 3 runs give a rate with a 95% interval. Each answer is one event.
