## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## EU Company Dossier: KYB, Financial Health, Sanctions

Due diligence on European companies, one row per company, from official registers. Built on [Factline](https://factline.dev), which reads the registers directly and cites them.

### What you get per company

- **Register record** from 10 official registers (UK Companies House, Ireland CRO, France SIRENE/RNE, Norway, Finland, Czechia, Slovakia, Estonia, Poland, plus GLEIF worldwide): status, number, legal form, address, incorporation date.
- **Financial health**: accounts filed on time or overdue, size band, headcount, turnover and net result where the register publishes them (France), employees and last filed accounts (Norway), insolvency, bankruptcy and winding-up (UK, France via BODACC, Norway, Finland, Netherlands with a KvK number). Verdict `healthy`, `watch`, `distressed` or `limited_data`.
- **Directors and owners** (UK, France, Norway) and **parent companies** (GLEIF), each screened against EU, UN, UK and US OFAC sanctions and the PEP list.
- **VAT and Peppol**: whether the company can receive e-invoices.
- One overall verdict (`pass`, `review`, `block_review`), a one-line summary and a line to cite.

### Input

`companies`: one per line, a name or company number plus a country code, e.g. `Equinor, NO`, `552032534, FR`, `Tesco PLC, GB`.

### Example row

`EQUINOR ASA (Allmennaksjeselskap, NO, active, since 1972). Verdict pass. Size: 21,231 employees. Health: healthy. 14 directors listed. Nothing flagged.`

### Who uses it

Procurement and supplier onboarding, credit and risk teams, M\&A and investment screening, sales teams qualifying European accounts, and AI agents that need a cited answer about a company.

### For AI agents

Agents can run this Actor through the Apify MCP server, or pay with USDC on Base through Apify's x402 support without an Apify account. Direct API without Apify: `GET https://factline.dev/v1/company/dossier` (x402 or API key).

### Pricing

Pay per company found. Companies that are not found, and failed lookups, are not charged.

### Notes

Automated due-diligence aid from public records, not legal advice or a credit rating. A possible sanctions match needs a person to confirm it against the official list. Published figures can be a year or more old.
