## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Affiliate Revenue Leak Monitor

**Find broken links and potential affiliate-link problems before they go unnoticed.**

Affiliate Revenue Leak Monitor checks links on public blog pages and URLs you paste manually. It identifies affiliate-link candidates, separates confirmed HTTP error responses from access restrictions, and produces a practical CSV audit with suggested next steps.

Built for affiliate publishers, bloggers, content creators, and site owners who need a lightweight way to review their public links.

> **Important:** This is a rules-based link auditing tool, not a commission tracker or an AI language model. It cannot access affiliate account reports or prove that a commission was lost.

### What it does

- Discover affiliate-link candidates from public HTML pages, including observed Ameba Pick-style redirects.
- Check individual affiliate URLs, including links copied from YouTube descriptions.
- Identify HTTP 404/410 responses that may indicate broken destinations.
- Distinguish access restrictions, server errors, and inconclusive results.
- Follow up to four HTTPS redirects and check optional visible tracking parameters.
- Prioritize affiliate candidates over unrelated site links.
- Export structured datasets, CSV findings, and Markdown reports.

### How to use

**Scan a blog:** Enter one or more public HTTPS article URLs under **Public blog/page URLs**, choose Scan mode, and start the Actor.

**Check links manually:** Paste HTTPS URLs into **Manual links**, one per line, and start the Actor.

**Test without network access:** Select Demo mode to generate fictional example findings.

### Output

- `FINDINGS.csv`: HTTP status, risk classification, link category, and recommended action.
- `REPORT.md`: Human-readable audit summary.
- `OUTPUT`: JSON summary containing detection counts and warnings.

### Important limitations

This Actor does not verify purchases, product availability, conversions, or commissions. Robots.txt restrictions and HTTP 403/429 are not proof of a broken link. A missing visible tracking parameter is only a review signal.

Only public HTTPS URLs are supported. The Actor respects robots.txt and does not bypass access controls.

Apify runtime charges may apply. Demo results may also be billable if pay-per-event pricing is enabled.

**Version: 1.4.0**
