## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Greek Public Tenders Monitor (KHMDHS + TED)

Find **open Greek public tenders** in seconds and get **only the new ones** every day.
Data comes straight from the two official sources:

- **KHMDHS** (Κεντρικό Ηλεκτρονικό Μητρώο Δημοσίων Συμβάσεων): every Greek public tender, small and large.
- **TED** (Tenders Electronic Daily, EU): large Greek tenders, with English titles.

No login, no proxies, no scraping of private sites. Both are official open-data APIs.

### What you can do with it

- **Suppliers and contractors:** get a daily list of tenders in your field and region before your competitors.
- **Consultants and bid writers:** track every tender for your clients' CPV codes.
- **Analysts and journalists:** export Greek public procurement data to Excel, Google Sheets or your database.

### Features

- **Greek keyword search that ignores accents and case.** `λογισμικ` finds `ΛΟΓΙΣΜΙΚΟΥ`, `Λογισμικό`, `λογισμικών`.
- **Filters:** CPV code prefix, region (NUTS), budget range, publication window, only still-open tenders, exclude cancelled.
- **Monitoring mode:** turn on *Only new since last run*, schedule the Actor daily, and connect email, Slack or Google Sheets. You only receive tenders you have not seen.
- **Clean, consistent output** across both sources: title, description, buyer, budget, deadline, CPV codes and labels, region, procedure, links to the official document.
- **Privacy by design:** names and emails of individual civil servants are not included in the output.

| EL43 | Crete |
| EL63 | Western Greece |
| EL42 | South Aegean |

### Pricing

You pay per tender delivered. Scanning is free, so narrow filters cost less.
Set *Max results* to cap the cost of any run.

### Notes

- KHMDHS rate-limits heavy use. The Actor paces its requests and retries automatically.
- Budget is excluded from TED results when the notice does not publish an estimated value.
- Data is provided as published by the official sources. Always check the official document before bidding.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Match any of these words in title, description, buyer or CPV label. Greek accents and case are ignored (e.g. 'λογισμικο' matches 'ΛΟΓΙΣΜΙΚΟΥ'). Leave empty for all tenders.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop tenders containing any of these words.

## `cpvPrefixes` (type: `array`):

Keep tenders whose CPV code starts with any of these digits, e.g. '72' (IT services), '45' (construction), '33' (medical).

## `nutsPrefixes` (type: `array`):

Keep tenders in these regions, e.g. 'EL30' Attica, 'EL52' Central Macedonia, 'EL43' Crete. Leave empty for all of Greece.

## `minBudget` (type: `integer`):

Tenders without a published budget are excluded when a budget filter is set.

## `maxBudget` (type: `integer`):

Upper budget limit. Tenders without a published budget are excluded when set.

Look at tenders published in this many past days (1-90).

## `onlyOpen` (type: `boolean`):

Skip tenders whose submission deadline has already passed.

## `excludeCancelled` (type: `boolean`):

Skip tenders marked as cancelled in KHMDHS.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

KHMDHS = official Greek registry (all Greek tenders). TED = EU journal (large tenders, with English titles).

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Remember tenders already delivered and return only new ones. Use with a schedule (e.g. daily) and an integration (email, Slack, Google Sheets).

## `monitorId` (type: `string`):

Separate memory per monitor when you run several saved tasks with 'Only new'.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching tenders (also caps your cost).
