## Pricing

from $1.60 / 1,000 articles

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Mainstream News Live & Archive: WSJ, Reuters, Bloomberg & More

**Free demo:** runs and API requests return a fixed sample of real rows.
Your accounts, queries, dates, and filters are not applied. Repeating a run
returns the same sample; a smaller row limit returns its prefix. Upgrade
your Apify plan to request your own data. Demo rows have no result charge;
the listed Actor start charge still applies.

Search collected articles and archived stories from major outlets: the WSJ,
Reuters, the New York Times, Bloomberg, the FT, the BBC, CNN, Fox, and more,
by outlet, keyword, and date. Coverage and collection delays vary by outlet.

**$2 per 1,000 articles.** Try the fixed Free demo.

### Why use it

- **Ongoing collection.** Retrieve articles as they enter our archive.
  Tick **Only new since my last run** and each run returns just what's new.
- **Archive.** Months of articles are already stored when you search.
- **115 outlets, one format.** Every article has the same columns, whatever
  the outlet.
- **Topics.** Pick Markets, Politics, Tech, Crypto, and more.
- **One story, one row.** Tick **Same story once** and a story several
  outlets ran comes back once. You don't pay for the copies.
- **Article text when we have it.** As Markdown, alongside the headline,
  summary, and image.

### Quick start

Pick outlets and keywords, or leave **Outlets** empty for all of them:

```json
{ "outlets": ["WSJ", "REUTERS", "NEW YORK TIMES"], "keywords": ["Fed", "inflation"], "since": "2026-10-01", "maxResults": 500 }
```

Markets news from the last 24 hours, each story once:

```json
{ "outlets": [], "topics": ["markets", "economy"], "maxAgeHours": 24, "sameStoryOnce": true, "maxResults": 200 }
```

Keywords match the headline or the summary, and each row lists the ones it
matched.

**Live news:** tick **Only new since my last run**, schedule it every few
minutes, and connect it to Slack, email, or Google Sheets.

### What you get

One row per article, newest first:

| Field | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| `outlet` | The publication, e.g. `WSJ`, `REUTERS`, `NYPOST` |
| `title`, `url` | The headline and the article on the outlet's site |
| `published_at` | When the outlet published it |
| `excerpt`, `image_url` | The outlet's summary and lead image, when given |
| `body`, `has_body` | The article text as Markdown, when we have it |
| `topics` | The article's sections: markets, business, economy, crypto, tech, politics, world, us, opinion, sports, health, science, climate, entertainment, lifestyle, legal, defense |
| `matched_keywords` | Which of your keywords it contains, when you search by keyword |
| `category`, `tags`, `region`, `country` | What kind of outlet it is and where it's based |

The **Article text** tab of a run's output shows the text; exports in JSON,
CSV, or Excel include it too. Untick **Include article text** for headlines
only, or tick **Only articles with text** to skip articles without it.

### Use it as an API

Call it like a REST API, with no runs to manage: `/articles` answers in JSON
with the same rows and prices as a run. Try it in the **Endpoints** tab, or
copy the Actor's URL from there:

```bash
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN" \
  "https://ACTOR_URL/articles?outlet=WSJ,REUTERS&keyword=Fed&since=2026-10-01"
```

### Pricing

Prices below are result fees. The **Pricing** tab also lists an Actor start
charge, including for empty runs, demo runs, and problem reports. Demo rows have
no result charge. Custom data requires a paid Apify plan. Its subscription
includes usage credit; it is not a separate Feedd subscription. API calls
require an Apify token.

$2 per 1,000 articles, only for rows you get: 10,000 articles cost $20. On
Apify's Business plan, $1.60 per 1,000. **Maximum rows** caps each run.

Apify Free plan: fixed sample data only. Runs and API calls return the same
sample. Upgrade for custom data at the result rates above.

### FAQ

**How fast are new articles?** Timing varies by outlet and collection path.
Scheduled integrations add their own polling and delivery delay.

**How much is there?** Availability varies by outlet and date. Start with a
small query to inspect coverage for your topic.

**Can AI agents use it?** Yes. Add
`https://mcp.apify.com?tools=feeddlabs/mainstream-news-archive` to Claude,
ChatGPT, or Cursor and ask, for example, "What did the WSJ and Reuters publish
about the Fed today?"

**Something not right?** Write it in **Report a problem** and run the Actor.
The run only submits your report, with no result charge. The listed Actor
start charge still applies. AI agents can report problems too.

# Actor input Schema

## `outlets` (type: `array`):

Outlet names, up to 200, e.g. WSJ, REUTERS, NEW YORK TIMES, NYPOST, BBC. Leave empty for every outlet. The README lists all of them.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Only articles whose headline or summary contains any of these words, up to 10. Each row lists the ones it matched.

## `topics` (type: `array`):

Only articles in any of these sections, taken from the outlet's own section of the article (Markets, Politics, Tech…). Leave empty for every topic.

## `since` (type: `string`):

Articles published on or after this day (UTC).

## `until` (type: `string`):

Articles published on or before this day (UTC).

## `maxAgeHours` (type: `integer`):

Only articles published in the last this many hours, for example 24. Leave empty to use the dates above.

## `includeBody` (type: `boolean`):

Add the article text as Markdown, when we have it.

## `onlyWithBody` (type: `boolean`):

Skip articles we have no text for.

## `sameStoryOnce` (type: `boolean`):

When several outlets run the same story, keep only the first one this run finds. Skipped copies cost nothing.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

Only articles that arrived since this search's last run. Schedule it for news alerts without repeats.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many articles. You pay per article. Total across the whole run, not per query or account. On Free, this can only shorten the fixed sample.

## `reportProblem` (type: `string`):

Something wrong or missing? Write it here and run: we get your message, the run does nothing else, and it's free. AI agents can use this too.
