## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs API — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, Breezy

Get **live job postings directly from company career boards** in one clean, unified schema.
Paste careers page URLs or company slugs; the applicant tracking system (ATS) is detected for you.

- **9 ATS platforms** in one actor: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, Breezy HR.
- **Workday enterprise boards** (NVIDIA, Salesforce, Adobe and thousands more): paste the careers URL. Up to 2,000 jobs per board (Workday's own limit). Workday shows post dates only as "Today" to "30+ days ago"; older jobs have `postedAt` empty unless `includeDescription` is on.
- **Straight from the source**: each company's official public job-board API, fetched at run time. No stale database, no login, no browser.
- **Salary when published**: structured ranges from Ashby, Lever and Recruitee; parsed from descriptions for the rest (turn on `includeDescription` for Workday and SmartRecruiters).
- **Change detection**: schedule it daily with `onlyNewJobs` and get (and pay for) only jobs you haven't seen.
- **Filter before you pay**: title, excluded words, location, department, remote-only, posted-within, salary-only.

### Use cases

- Job boards and aggregators that need fresh postings from target companies.
- Recruiters and staffing agencies tracking who is hiring for which roles.
- Sales teams using hiring as a buying signal ("they just opened 5 data-engineer roles").
- Investors and analysts tracking headcount growth by department.
- Job seekers alerting on new roles at dream companies.

### Input examples

```json
{
  "companies": [
    "https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb",
    "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir",
    "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
    "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite",
    "workable:huggingface",
    "smartrecruiters:BoschGroup",
    "recruitee:bunq",
    "personio:personio"
  ],
  "titleKeywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "excludeTitleKeywords": ["intern"],
  "remoteOnly": false,
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "includeDescription": true,
  "onlyNewJobs": true,
  "stateKey": "my-daily-engineering-search"
}
```

Accepted company formats:

| Format | Example |
|---|---|
| Careers page URL | `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite` |
| `ats:slug` | `greenhouse:airbnb` |
| Plain slug (auto-detect) | `airbnb` — tries each ATS in turn (not Workday, which needs its URL). Use `ats:slug` when a slug is ambiguous. |

### Output (one row per job)

```json
{
  "ats": "ashby",
  "company": "ramp",
  "id": "ashby:ramp:34413f8d-...",
  "title": "Security Engineer, Cloud",
  "department": "Engineering",
  "team": "Backend",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)", "Remote (US)"],
  "workplaceType": "HYBRID",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "salary": { "min": 211400, "max": 290600, "currency": "USD", "period": "YEAR" },
  "postedAt": "2026-04-07T17:12:35.753Z",
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/...",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/.../application",
  "descriptionText": "..."
}
```

A per-company report (open jobs, saved jobs, errors) is written to the key-value store as `SUMMARY`.

### Pricing

Pay per job saved. Jobs removed by your filters, and already-seen jobs in change-detection mode, are free.

### FAQ

**Why is a company "not found"?** It uses an ATS this actor doesn't cover, or its board has no open jobs. Check its careers page URL.

**Is this allowed?** It uses the public job-board endpoints these ATS vendors provide so companies can list jobs on their own sites and on job boards.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

One per line. Accepts a careers page URL (https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite), an explicit "ats:slug" (greenhouse:airbnb) or just a slug (airbnb) for auto-detection. Workday boards need the careers URL.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these (case-insensitive). Empty = all.

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `locationKeywords` (type: `array`):

e.g. "london", "germany", "remote".

## `departmentKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose department or team contains any of these, e.g. "engineering", "sales".

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote by the ATS or with "remote" in the location.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

0 = any date.

## `requireSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs with a published or detected salary range.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds plain-text descriptions (and better salary detection). Slightly slower.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Change detection for scheduled runs: returns only jobs that were not returned before under the same state key. You pay only for new jobs.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Use a different key per saved search/schedule.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs per company.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

Stop after saving this many jobs in total.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many companies to fetch at the same time.
