## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Florida New Business Leads (Sunbiz Daily Filings)

Every new Florida LLC and corporation, straight from the Florida Department of State's official daily data files (the same data behind sunbiz.org). Great for insurance agents, accountants, banks, web designers, signage/print shops, payroll and other services that sell to brand-new businesses.

**Output:** company name, document number, entity type, file date, principal and mailing address, FEI/EIN if filed, registered agent, up to 6 officers/managers (title, name, address), Sunbiz link.

**Filters:** look-back days or date range, entity types (FL LLC, FL corp, foreign, non-profit, LP), cities, ZIP prefixes, new formations only.

**Volume:** about 2,000–3,000 new records per business day (~24,000 in 10 days in our test).

**Source and compliance:** official free downloads published by the Florida Division of Corporations, using the public credentials the state publishes (https://dos.fl.gov/sunbiz/other-services/data-downloads/). One login, one file per day, about 1 request/second. No scraping of sunbiz.org search pages.

**Pricing:** pay per result, $0.003 per lead ($3 per 1,000) + $0.01 per run. Set "Max leads" to cap your cost.

### Use cases

- Insurance, payroll, bookkeeping and banking outreach to brand-new Florida businesses
- Web design, signage, print and marketing agencies looking for new local clients
- Market research on new business formation by city or ZIP

### Note

Officer data is public record. You are responsible for following TCPA, CAN-SPAM and other outreach laws.
