## Pricing

from $5.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

This Apify actor scrapes property listings from Nestaway.com, an Indian rental property platform.

### Features

- Scrapes property listings with detailed information
- Handles pagination automatically
- Configurable maximum results
- Proxy support for reliable scraping
- Retry logic for failed requests
- Immediate dataset push for each result

### Input

The actor accepts the following input parameters:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    {
      "url": "https://www.nestaway.com/bangalore/properties-in-bangalore"
    }
  ],
  "maxResults": 100,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

#### Input Parameters

- **startUrls** (required): Array of URL objects to start scraping from
  - Each object should have a `url` property
  - Default: Bangalore properties page

- **maxResults** (optional): Maximum number of properties to scrape
  - Default: 100
  - Minimum: 1

- **proxyConfiguration** (optional): Proxy settings for the scraper
  - Use Apify proxy by setting `useApifyProxy: true`
  - Recommended for reliable scraping

### Output

The actor outputs the following fields for each property:

```json
{
  "title": "3 BHK Apartment in Koramangala",
  "price": "₹44250",
  "location": "Koramangala, Bangalore",
  "propertyType": "3 BHK",
  "furnishing": "Fully Furnished",
  "url": "https://www.nestaway.com/property-detail/...",
  "scrapedAt": "2024-01-15T10:30:45.123Z"
}
```

#### Output Fields

- **title**: Property title/name
- **price**: Monthly rent price (in ₹)
- **location**: Area/locality of the property
- **propertyType**: Type of property (1BHK, 2BHK, 3BHK, etc.)
- **furnishing**: Furnishing status (Furnished, Semi Furnished, Unfurnished)
- **url**: Direct URL to the property listing
- **scrapedAt**: ISO 8601 timestamp of when the data was scraped

Note: Some fields may be `null` if the information is not available on the page.

### Technical Details

- **Base Image**: `apify/actor-python:3.11`
- **HTTP Client**: `httpx` for async requests
- **HTML Parser**: `BeautifulSoup4` with `lxml`
- **Retry Logic**: 3 attempts with exponential backoff
- **Logging**: Progress logged every 10 results

### Usage

#### On Apify Platform

1. Create a new actor on Apify
2. Copy all files to your actor
3. Build the actor
4. Run with your desired input

#### Local Development

1. Install dependencies:
   ```bash
   pip install -r requirements.txt
   ```

2. Set up Apify token:
   ```bash
   export APIFY_TOKEN=your_token_here
   ```

3. Run the actor:
   ```bash
   python -m src
   ```

### Error Handling

- Failed requests are retried up to 3 times with exponential backoff
- Missing data fields are set to `null` instead of crashing
- All errors are logged for debugging

### Best Practices

- Use proxy configuration for production runs
- Start with a lower `maxResults` value for testing
- Monitor the run logs for any issues
- Check dataset preview during the run
