## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### Google Jobs Scraper

Get job listings from Google Jobs, the search that gathers postings from LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Monster, Dice and company career sites in one place. For each job: title, company, location, source, posting date, **salary range as numbers**, employment type, qualifications and responsibilities, the full description and **every link to apply**. Daily alerts with only new jobs. No login, no API key. Pay per job.

#### What you get

- **One search, every job board**: Google Jobs lists postings from LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Monster, Dice, BeBee and company career sites, so you don't need a scraper per site.
- **Salaries you can sort**: the text ("$120K–$150K a year") plus `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryPeriod` and `salaryCurrency`.
- **All apply links**: the main one and every alternative (`applyOptions`), with the real URLs, not Google redirects.
- **Job highlights**: Qualifications, Responsibilities and Benefits as lists, plus the full description.
- **Freshness**: posting age as text and in days, to filter recent jobs.
- **Filters**: location, remote jobs, maximum age in days, employment type. Jobs removed by a filter are not charged.
- **Job alerts**: with **Only new jobs** on a schedule, each run returns only postings not delivered before.
- **Any country and language**: set the Google edition (us, gb, mx, in, es...) and language.

#### How to use it

1. Add one or more **job searches**: a title, skill or company ("python developer", "registered nurse", "data analyst at Google").
2. Optional: a **location** ("New York", "London", "Mexico City"), **remote jobs**, **posted within N days** and **employment types**.
3. Choose **max jobs per search** (10 per Google search; up to about 50 combining related searches).
4. Press **Start**, then export to JSON, CSV or Excel, or call it from the API.

#### Input example

```json
{
  "queries": ["python developer"],
  "location": "New York",
  "maxJobsPerQuery": 30,
  "maxDaysOld": 7,
  "employmentTypes": ["full-time"]
}
```

#### Output

One row per job. Real result from a run on 2026-10-07 (apply options, highlights and description shortened):

  "status": "ok"
}
```
#### Job alerts
Turn on **Only new jobs** and schedule the run (for example every morning). The Actor remembers the jobs it returned for each search (same text, location, country and language) and returns only new postings; a job is identified by title, company and location, so the same posting found again under another link is not repeated. Connect the run to email, Slack or Google Sheets with Apify integrations, Make, Zapier or n8n.
#### How many jobs per search?
Google shows 10 jobs per search and loads more only inside its own page. Above 10, the Actor adds related searches (full time, contract, senior, entry level, remote...) and removes duplicates, which gives about 30-50 different jobs for a broad search. For more, add more specific searches (other titles, cities or skills).
#### Pricing
Pay per job returned (see the Pricing tab). Searches that fail, jobs filtered out by age or type, and (with **Only new jobs**) jobs already delivered are not charged.
#### Use with AI agents (MCP)
Available as an MCP tool at `https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=fguiraud/google-jobs-scraper` for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients.
Agent-friendly input: common field names such as `query`, `keywords`, `jobTitle` or `position` are accepted, and an empty input runs a small sample.
#### FAQ
- **Why does Google Jobs need a special proxy?** Google only renders the jobs page for real browsers or Apify's Google SERP proxy. The Actor uses the SERP proxy by default; its cost is included in the price per job.
- **Is the salary always present?** Only when the employer or job board publishes it (often in the US, less in other countries).
- **Does it include LinkedIn and Indeed jobs?** Yes, the ones Google indexes; the `via` field says where Google found each job.
- **Is it legal?** The Actor reads public job postings shown on Google. It does not log in to any job board and collects no personal data.
- Found a problem or need a feature? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab. Replies within 48 hours.
- **Did it save you time?** A short review on the **Reviews** tab helps other people find this Actor.
# Actor input Schema
## `queries` (type: `array`):
What to search, one per line: a job title, skill or company ('python developer', 'registered nurse', 'data analyst at Google'). Add the place here or in 'Location'.
## `location` (type: `string`):
City, region or country added to every search, e.g. 'New York', 'London', 'Mexico City'. Empty = Google uses the country below.
## `maxJobsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):
Google shows 10 jobs per search. Above 10, related searches (contract type, seniority, remote) are added and duplicates removed, up to about 50 jobs per search.
## `maxDaysOld` (type: `integer`):
Only jobs posted in the last N days (1 = today, 7 = last week). Jobs without a date are kept. Filtered jobs are not charged.
## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):
Only these types. Empty = all. Filtered jobs are not charged.
## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Add 'remote' to every search so Google returns work-from-home jobs.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Turn off for smaller results (title, company, salary, highlights and apply links are always included).
## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):
For scheduled runs: remember the jobs already returned for each search (in a key-value store named 'google-jobs-monitor' in your account) and return only new ones. Ideal for daily job alerts.
## `language` (type: `string`):
Google interface language (en, es, de, fr, pt...).
## `country` (type: `string`):
2-letter country code of the Google edition: us, gb, ca, in, mx, es, de... Jobs come mostly from this country unless 'Location' says otherwise.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many searches run at the same time.
## `failOnError` (type: `boolean`):
Mark the run as failed when an item fails or nothing is found. Useful for scheduled monitoring (Apify emails you on failed runs).
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Google Jobs results are only rendered for Apify's Google SERP proxy, used by default (it is billed by Apify per page, included in the job price).
