## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Florida New Business Registrations — Daily LLC & Corp Leads by County

Every new Florida LLC and corporation from the **State of Florida's official daily corporate filing files** (Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations). Filter by county, city, ZIP, entity type and keywords in the business name. Company data only.

### Why this one

- **Official source, no scraping.** Reads the State's published daily bulk files. No captchas, no search-page breakage.
- **Filter to your market:** all 67 Florida counties (derived from ZIP), city, ZIP or ZIP prefix, entity type, name keywords (e.g. ROOFING, CLEANING, REALTY).
- **New formations only** by default (amendments filtered out).
- **Never empty on weekends:** with no dates set it reads the most recent files Florida has actually posted.
- **Company data only:** no officer names, no individual registered agents, no EIN/FEI numbers. A registered agent is shown only when it is a company (e.g. a registered-agent service or law firm).
- Fast: a typical run finishes in seconds.

### Input

| Field | Default | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| latestFiles | 3 | Most recent N daily files posted (1–31), newest first; weekends/holidays skipped |
| dateFrom / dateTo | — | Optional exact range, YYYY-MM-DD (max 31 days); overrides latestFiles |
| newFilingsOnly | true | Only brand-new entities |
| entityTypes | all | FLAL (FL LLC), FORL (foreign LLC), DOMP (FL corp), FORP, DOMNP (non-profit), FORNP, DOMLP, FORLP |
| counties | — | e.g. Miami-Dade, Broward, Hillsborough |
| cities / zipCodes | — | City exact match; ZIP or ZIP prefix |
| nameKeywords | — | Match any, e.g. ROOFING, CLEANING |
| excludeOutOfState | false | Florida principal addresses only |
| maxResults | 1000 | Stop after N results |

Tip: schedule it daily with `latestFiles: 1` to get the newest day's filings every morning.

### Output (one row per business)

documentNumber, entityName, status, filingTypeCode, filingType, fileDate, isNewFiling, lastTransactionDate, stateOfFormation, principal address / city / state / ZIP / county, mailing address / city / state / ZIP, registeredAgentCompany (company agents only, else null), sourceFile. ### Data notes & limits

- Public record published by the Florida Department of State "as is"; it may be late, incomplete or changed by the State at any time. This Actor is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of Florida.
- Florida posts one file per business day. File date can differ from filing date by a few days.
- County is derived from the principal ZIP (US Census 2020 ZIP-to-county, largest-area match); ZIPs that cross county lines can be off.
- Many small-business addresses are owners' homes. Do not use this data for FCRA purposes (credit, employment, insurance, housing decisions). Follow CAN-SPAM, TCPA and telemarketing rules when contacting businesses.
